I have really thick hair so it takes forever to blowdry. I had a blowdryer that practically blew you away when you used it because it dried my hair the quickest, but decided to get a new one since 1.) it was killing my hair and 2.) It was super loud and I have a baby on the way.
If you're looking for a blowdryer that will knock you over with it's gust, this isn't it.... And if you're looking for a SUPER quiet blowdryer, this isn't it either...
But, it's a good blowdryer that is noticabley quieter than most blowdryers that I've owned in the past (which will come in handy with the napping baby around!)
It's a good blowdryer - with a great diffuser - quieter than most and inexpensive!

I have very curly hair- and when it gets hot down here (I live in SC) and humid - it gets frizzy! So I have opted to just wear my hair pulled back in a ponytail or up in a bun...then I get this awesome hair dryer for Christmas and I can wear my naturally curly hair down and straight!! Or if I opt to wear it o-natural, the ion button keeps my hair from frizzen out and looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket! It's very quite! I can do my hair and not have to worry about waking up the baby - and it does not get ungodly hot to wear it burns your hair. I love it and recommend it to anyone!

i have crazy curly hair and lots of it. it used to take me at least 1/2 hour to dry it, and even then it'd still be damp. and my blowdryer was so loud that i couldn't hear the phone if it was right next to me. this product is a dream! it's so quiet that it was disturbing the first few times i used it - i couldn't believe there was actually enough air coming out. but lo and behold it has a strong, evenly distributed air flow and dries my hair in 10 minutes. highly recommended for anyone with curly and/or thick hair.

I originally bought this hair dryer several years ago, LOVED the difuser and all the heat/speed settings. It is also light weight & medium loud. My first one lasted about 1 year - which I thought wasn't too bad - it's not an expensive dryer. My second one lasted about 1 year. I have looked around for another dryer that would work with this difuser, but the barrels are too big/too small, so I broke down & bought another one of these....well that was 2 months ago and the heat element just went out. The first one just quit working, actually went dead, the next two had the heat element quit - so I still can run the dryer, it just won't get beyond cool. So what is the deal with Conair?? Years ago when I bought a Conair dryer - which weighed a ton - they lasted for 5-6 years!! Now they last 1 year - maybe. I know they have a warranty, but you need to ship the dryer to them, then wait 4-6 weeks to get it back. So you need a second dryer to use in the interim - it is a hassle and I think they know that. This is my last Conair Euro - I don't care if it is the best difuser I ever used.

I've had this dryer for over 6 years - LOVE IT - I have curly hair and it's hard to find a dryer that doesn't frizz out ur hair and this is it. Overheated if the filter wasn't clean but if you kept ur filter clean there wasn't a problem. Mine just finally kicked the bucket after all of those years and I was so upset that i couldn't find these anywhere anymore - tried others dryers but but my hair just doesn't come out as good as when i used this dryer. I'm SO happy I found this again - so is my hair!!

I really didn't like this hairdryer because when I did use
I felt like my hair was singed. On top of that it made my
hair frizzy with flyaways. I definetly would not recomend
this dryer.

I have had my Conair translucent dryer for over a year (and I blow-dry daily). Pros- hair dries FAST due to the SUPER heating elements. It's lightweight, and not as loud as some dryers I've used. The filter snaps on and off easily, so a quick cleaning is no problem. Not many dryers come with three heating options (four, when you count the cool shot button) AND three speeds, as this one does.
That said, the cord is really thick and often rolls up on its own--annoying--plus there's no hang loop. The heat is almost too hot. It sometimes smells like the plastic is melting. I definately wouldn't recommend this to someone with fine or damaged hair.

This hairdryer is wonderful. Works great! Enjoy ease of use and looks. Only drawback is the additional parts tend to fall off easily.

This hair dryer arrived missing a part. I had it sent to me in the U.S. (they don't ship to Canada) because I was visiting someone in Indiana, but I'm home now. I called J&R customer service and was told they'd send the part to the Indiana address. They sent the wrong part and now I can't contact them because I live in Canada and their phone number doesn't work from here. Maybe the hair dryer is good if it has all the parts but how useless is mine? Canadians beware!
