very powerful, 3 settings, a great price

I will NEVER use another hair dryer other than this one. It's the best. I just ordered 3, adding to the one I already have, in case it gets discontinuted. I couldn't live without it.

I really like this product. I read the other reviews which helped me to decide on it. I timed how long it took to dry my hair this morning--only 3 minutes!! This is nice since I do not have a lot of time in the mornings! It really does dry your hair from the inside out and I don't really notice it being very loud. I definitely recommend it!

The features I like best about this dryer are the various settings which allow you to control which portions of hair need greater heat or power, and the removable cone. By removing the cone you can spot dry. For instance, often the crown needs more attention than other parts of the hair.

It's light in weight so it's easy to hold and does the job well. In the past I've had a dryer or two which have been so heavy that I was worn out before my hair was dry.

If you have really short hair, just leave the Turbo cone on and your hair will be dry before you know it.

This dryer worked faster than any dryer that I have bought. My hair was so much softer. Only thing I didn't like that it is kind of big and heavy. Thats why I gave in a four. But I do recommend it. I think that if it can handle african american hair it will do really well in other types.

This hairdryer is truly a pleasure to use! I have longish (mid-shoulderblades) curly hair. I rarely dried my hair - other than my bangs. I did not have the patience to. Then I bought this dryer...WOW! I highly recommend it to everyone! It dries my hair in under half the time and my hair has never been shinier, softer, or more manageable - even 12 hours later! And I'm not burning my hair or my head to dry it! I dry my hair using medium heat and power...

If you're fed up with hair dryers, try this one. I'd be surprised if you didn't love it!

After reading reviews of this product, I couldn't wait to style my hair with it. I'm a middle aged male in his 40's with thin type hair, but still a decent amount to style. I would say my 'do is sort of the James Woods look but longer and a little thicker.

I've used it again and again, and because of the "patented lift-and-dry airflow attachment", I can't seem to get my hair to go along with my idea of how it should look! I've tried keeping the device 3-4" away as instructed, closer, and further from my head to no avail. Whatever I try to do, the airflow attachment blows the hair out of place. Even when taking the attachment off, the airflow is out of control

I gave it two stars because it sufficiently drys the hair, and once in awhile my hair looks decent but not great after styling.

Luckily I also purchased the Vidal Sassoon VS-781 which is EXCELLENT. It's also an ionic dryer but with a more narrow attachment which directs the airflow MUCH, MUCH better.

I've e-mailed Remington customer support and asked them to sell a more narrow attachment for the V-2002, and all I've received is a thank you, and a request to call their 800 number. I would even pay for the attachment!

I'm assuming I will like this product, but can't tell you whether I do or not because after almost a month after ordering it, I still have not received it. I believe it is going to be delivered today. I ordered it on October 9th. Today is November 4th and still no hair dryer. It was possible that they were out of stock, but no one ever told me that. There are plenty of other vendors who sell this product. You may want to order it elsewhere.

I have hated my naturally curly hair since highschool. I have finally decided to stop fighting it and let it be curly. I don't know all the technical aspects of this blow dryer but it is the only dryer I'll ever use. My hair is not coarse, I have semi-loose ringlets, thin strands but a lot of hair--if this describes your hair, you will love this dryer. It dries without blowing it all around and leaves your hair soft, shiny and absolutely frizz free. It's even better than a difusser. Buy it!!

It worked for less than a year--no better or worse than any other hair dryer I have had. The "removable" filter is a pain to take off, and then it is a pain to clean.

I liked this hair dryer a lot, but the on/off switch broke less than a year after I bought it. Would not buy again or recommend it.

It was great while it lasted. Heat/cool system worked well. Enjoyed it 5 months and the off/on switch went out. Seems to be no way to fix it at this point. Very disappointed that there is no phone or computer help to get it fixed. I really liked it. I would rate it 5 stars while it worked but only one star on length of time it lasted!

I got this hairdryer more than 2 years ago. I love the look and that it folds down. Its great for storage and for travel. The only problem is that the black matte finish is starting to wear off. Other then that, great product.

I purchased this hair dryer and it worked great for two weeks and then one day it just wouldn't come on.

I have purchased this hair dryer twice. The first time it stopped working because of a short in the cord. For awhile after it began to act up, I could move the cord around and/or hold it in a certain postion and it would still work. Finally it gave out altogether. I don't recall how long I'd had the hair dryer, maybe a couple of years, but I liked it so I replaced it with an identical unit. The same exact thing happened with this unit. I took it in to an electrician to be fixed and he replaced the bad section of the cord. It worked for awhile longer and then gave out. I wised up and this time did not purchase an identical replacement. I gave this hair dryer two tries and both times - after a relatively short period of time - the cord shorted out. I also had later cord problems with a hair dryer from the same manufacturer, Helen of Troy USA.
I will not purchase either Vidal Sassoon or Revlon hair dryers from this company as I feel that the cords on their hair dryers are unsafe and prone to shorting out.

Just purchased my second Revlon 1875 model #RV406 and I did experience some cord problems with the first dryer. So far the second one has been fine. My recommendation would be that a disfusser needs to be made to attach to the end like so many other hair dryers have. If there is one out there for this model I have not been able to find it.
