it's pretty, it's shiny, it looks like a spaceship, it is a good price. It is a perfectly cromulent hair dryer. dries hair real good, real fast. if you want a good hair drier, this is a good choice.

I bought the Vidal Sassoon Dryer as a gift for my wife. I was a little worried at first, you know buying her a hair dryer as a gift. I lucked out, she loves it. She used to do hair at a salon, and she said it reminded her of the professional dryers she used to use.

I love this to straighten my hair, but I just can't get the rest to work very well. I would probably do the crimping better if it was just a hot iron. But, I love to dry and straighten my hair with it!!!

I love this thing!! I have wavy, thick, short hair and it cuts my styling time in half! I find it especially useful for straightening and twisting the ends of my hair outward.

It is loud, and I wish it had a "medium" setting-- but it gets the job done quickly. It can also be a little more awkward to hold and style since the handle is bigger around than a normal curling iron, but after practice- I got used to it.

This product is by far the best of anything I've ever tried -- it takes me now 10 minutes to dry and style my hair, instead of more than an hour with other hair dryers/straightening irons. The straightening attachment actually blows hot air through its plates while you straighten, so it's drying it at the same time -- that seems to be the magic trick that makes this product so effective. It's incredibly simple to switch the attachments. And, as an added bonus, it's easy to pack for those who travel frequently.

In short: highly recommended, and at this price, it's a bargain. You will be amazed!

My family has used this model hairdryer for about 11 months. While it was being used recently the wiring in the handle shorted and flames and smoke started escaping from the off / on switch. My wife burnt her finger and dropped it to the floor then unplugged it. Upon examination of the handle, the wires at the solder points in the handle had shorted and caught on fire. I know the dryer was not being misused or over heated, so it appears to be a manufacturers defect. Buyers need to be aware of this potential problem.

this dryer is awesome! buy it and you'll NEvER have to get another. the cool shot button is a good feature, as is the removable lint trap makes for easy cleaning.Highly recommended

I have owned this hair dryer for as long as I can remember, and absolutely LOVE it!! It is very quiet, and has a cool shot button, which is great. It also has the removable lint trap, which makes it easy to clean. I would recommend this to everyone - especially those that would like a hair dryer without the noise, but with all the power!

The brush is much to soft and flexible. Doesnt grab my hair; the bristles just sort of bend over the top layer. You cant get a smoothe style like that. And that is what this type of dryer is suppoed to do. They need to change the brush bristles!

I needed to replace my 1600 watt with attachments and found the 1875 is the new kid on the block. I liked the 1600 much better--but can't find one any place. The 1875 easily overheats on high and then shuts itself off. This happens almost everytime I dry my hair with it. Unfortunately, the medium setting doesn't give enough heat to properly dry my hair or I'd just keep it on that setting thoughout the drying process.

This is the only dryer suitable for my needs; so I gave it 4 stars instead of 3.5. It is excellent for medium/long, thick, tend to friz hair, with a large styling brush and a lot of power.
