Now let's get one thing straight here, I'm a man! I need a man's toaster, something that will make me the finest, most delicately darkened toast this side of Paris, Texas! To have such a discriminating taste in the field of toasters is unfortunate, for very few can meet the simple requirements that I ask for! After years of searching, I found the Black and Decker T2400 Toast-It-All Deluxe 2-Slice Wide Slot Toaster! It features extra wide slots (to accordingly fit my Texas toast!) bagel and bread setting switchers, and a crumb tray that can't be beat! Now I admit, all the frou-frou with her switches confuses me! That's why she loses the extra star! But thankfully, my wife knows just what all the confusing nobs do, so when she makes my breakfast it's top notch, always satisfying my taste gumption! And above all it's made and manufactured in the U S of A! The Black & Decker T2400 Toast-It-All Deluxe 2-Slice Wide Slot Toaster ain't perfect, but she's as close as they come!

I bought the Black & Decker T2400 Toast-It-All Deluxe 2-Slice Wide Slot Toaster not knowing how great it would be, but it's now the best toaster I've ever owned. Really convienient, with settings for bagels, and it's even got an option where you can keep your bread sitting in the toaster after it's done toasting and it stays warm. Hands down, the bes toaster you will find in this price range, a fine appliance for the common man!

I received this chopper as a gift. Once assembled it works well. My biggest complaint is that the bowl requires some effort to remove or assemble, it must be positioned exactly on the base Also, the lid must be position correctly or it will not work...and it takes some getting use to to get it on correctly. The design could be better.

I don't own a food processer, but I don't need one--this little chopper meets all of my needs. I've owned mine for 5-6 years, and I probably use it at least 2-3 times per week. It's particularly good for chopping onions quickly, easily, and without tears--just cut the onion into a few chunks, stick the pieces in the chopper, and chop away. The two speeds and the amount of time you process determine the extent of the chopping, from very finely chopped onions and garlic to coarsely chopped nuts. I've used this chopper for a variety of jobs, including making bread crumbs, chopping nuts, and more. The unit is small enough to keep on the counter, but it's also lightweight enough to be tucked away and brought out only when needed. Plus, it has an important safety feature in that the unit won't run unless the lid is closed and turned to lock. A great little product that is a perfect replacement for or substitute to a larger food processer.

This little chopper is a wiz. Great time saver for the smaller chopping jobs!! Easy to wash & store. I have rhemitoid arthritis and it does all my chopping needs. My kitchen wouldn't be the same without it!!

Had the ODC150 for about 2 years. Started leaking from reservoir. Was told I would have to buy a new reservoir to replace the rubber water seal/valve at a cost of $24, as it is not a replaceable item. Bulls**t!!!! It takes 5 minutes to replace it. I have emailed their customer service. If I don't get a suitable resolution, I will never buy any B&D products in the future!!

The water resivoir leaks all over the countertop. I called Black and Decker and they sent me another one, but this one leaks also. They finally sent me a new machine, this one is a new model, we will see how this one works.....

I was a Black and Decker Spacemaker enthusiast, having purchased one in 1996. It worked fine, though I had trouble with the spring that controls the sneak-a-cup feature. The heating unit burned out 6 years later,so I purchased a new one. The valve on the reservoir began to leak late in 2003. I checked the price of a new reservoir ($18) and decided to go for a brand new machine. You guessed it- It leaked like a sieve as soon as I got it home. I got on-line with the folks at Applica, and was assured I would hear from someone "shortly". That was 12 days ago. Also, I got on-line with someone called PriceGrabber hotline who "Assigned a number" and promised to get back to me. Glad I wasn't holding my breath. No answer 12 days later. Today Jan 9 called Applica, talked to a real person, was told to return it to K-Mart. Are there any good under-the-counter coffeemakers out there, or am I doomed to push coffeemakers around my countertop again?? Thanks- MartyYawman@aol.com

Ordered this on May 25. Now, only one of the 4 sides will toast. Have to put a piece of bread in, let it toast, then turn it around. Forget about using the other side!

I use a toaster primarily for bread and English muffins and had one of those fancy (and expensive) models that never did the job right. This one does. It toasts evenly, the browning regulator works, and the toast pops up where it can be reached. The exterior stays cool, the design is pleasant to the eye, and the price is right.

After about a year and a half of very light use (I usually make coffee at home only for guests, at work I buy from a coffee shop), mine just broke. Water just stopped flowing from the reservoir into the basket all of a sudden. It worked fine yesterday. It's OK for the price, but if I had been using this thing regularly it would probably have broken after three months. Also, the carafe is cheaply made; the handle is wobbly and the lid doesn't sit on it correctly, so sometimes there's some spillage. It's also very hard to clean. If I can't fix the one I have, I might buy another one of these, but chances are I'll spring for a more reliable model, especially since I'm going to start making coffee at home a lot more often.

I bought this one as a replacement for my other Black and Decker 12 cup since I left it on all day long and could not find another carfe for it. I have had it for three weeks and it is perfect. Its great to wake up to the smell of freshly brewing coffee, and the easy pour feature that the Carfe has eleminates spilling coffee on the counter at 6 am. I have not experienced any problems like other revewiers. However I did notice that on the carfe there are two levels indicated, one for coffee and one for water. So if you want 12 cups of coffee you have to fill it to the line slightly above the 12 cup mark and the carfe is difficult to clean since it is contured to be easy to pour. It is a bit loud too. The warming plate keeps the coffee very hot; and in my experience with it I usually end up turning it off before I finish all of the coffee since it gets too hot. I brew several pots of coffee every day (to fill up travel cups; and when I have guests). Other than that with a bit of common sense and you do not expect the quality of a Mercedez Benz for the price of a Toyota; you should have years of faithfull service ahead of you with this coffee machine.

I am writing because I absolutely love my coffeemaker and cannot believe the bum rap it got from these 2 owners. I have tried so many to find one that does not drip and this is IT! It is the lid design, pots that have lids that overlap onto the outer rim DRIP! AND I cannot/could not find one that had an inside-type lid. As for longevity - I bought mine a year ago and have had not one problem. And as for taste - sorry - that is not the machines fault, maybe try a better brand of coffee!
The machine is great, it has the warmer device which keeps your coffee toasty for hours, and beeps when it's going to shut down, so you have a chance to re-press the button.
Sadly my son broke the decanter - that is why I was here - hoping to find a replacement. If I can't - I will just buy another machine - same model!

CPSC, Applica Consumer Products Inc. Announce Recall of
Black & Decker® Brand VersaToast™ Toasters

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Applica Consumer Products Inc., of Miami Lakes, Fla., is voluntarily recalling about 2.1 million VersaToast™ wide-slot toasters. Applica made and sold these toasters under the Black & Decker® brand. The heating element in these toasters can continue to operate after use, posing a fire hazard.

CPSC and Applica are aware of nine reports of fires associated with these toasters after a period of non-use, resulting in minor property damage to kitchen cabinets. One minor injury was reported to the firm, but it has not been confirmed and is under investigation.

The recall includes both two-slice and four-slice Black & Decker® brand VersaToast™ wide-slot toasters. "BLACK & DECKER®," "VersaToast™" and "WIDE SLOT" are written on the side of the toaster near the cooking controls. The toasters have either white or black plastic enclosures. They have model number T1200, T1250, T1400 or T1450 written on the bottom of the toaster.

This does not seem to be part of the recall that the previous customer listed...as it is model T2050...so far - I have not seen that model number in the recall. I will hope that Amazon knows not to sell recalled items - but it is good to check up on these things in case new recalls come out! Nice toaster! Simple design - easy to use.

I purchased this model yesterday. This morning I decided to install it under my cabinet and per the instructions, held up to the bottom of the cabinet for lever placement. After several minutes of this, it went back in the box so I can return it to the store. There was not enough clearance for the lever to be pulled up so the can could be placed on it. Actually if there were a no star rating I would use it based on the fact that the can opener was out of the box for all of 5 minutes before it went back in.

This is a great space saver, but it consistently fails to open cans. I now use a hand-held can opener and I would not buy another Black and Decker can opener.

I REGISTERED AND RECEIVED THIS OPENER FOR MY WEDDING IN SEPTEMBER OF 2002. IT'S BEEN 11 MONTHS SINCE THEN AND IT STILL WORKS GREAT! NO PROBLEMS HERE!

I only had this coffeemaker for 6 months,when I went to turn it on, the switch popped off and sparks came out. It burned my finger. I have to agree with the other reviews, this is one of the worst appliances I have ever bought. You get what you pay for.

We have had the coffee maker for a little over 2 years....just yesterday the on/off button broke and a fire spark almost burnt my finger! It was a slow coffee maker and was difficult to pour the water in...I do not recommend this appliance! Thanks!

I have had the cofeemaker for 1 year and a half. It's been working fine and all of a sudden my husband turned on the switch and the switch lit but nothing happened. I don't know what happened to it. Like the other raters I agree it is a little difficult pouring water into the maker. I would also like to add that my coffeemaker was no longer a Smartbrew when I washed the machine, something fell off and I couldn't find the piece that created the coffeemaker to stop dripping when I pulled the carafe away from it. That's the price you pay for a cheaper coffeemaker.
