SIMPLY THE BEST TOASTER!!!
THE BEST TOASTER-NOT FOR ALLI find it incredible when someone writes a review and is IGNORANT about the facts. Let the slight of heart continue to buy junk and toss it. As for me, I'll go with a commercial quantity product anytime, that has the features and benefits and be thrilled to have the product last a long time.
If you want to spoil yourself and have the best, buy a DUALIT toaster. If this is out of your league, you can do as the other reviewer said, "you could buy a succession of 15 $20 toasters which I would imagine would cover the same amount of time as this one" and enjoy using sub par equipment! I recommend DUALIT toasters and products to all consumers. Simply put, you get what you pay for!
A MUST HAVE FOR THE KITCHENIt's only a toaster I know, but there's just something about it that gives you a sense of satisfaction. And it makes any kitchen look cool, just siting there. I also know it's expensive, but I've known people buy several new, lesser toasters in the time I've had my Dualit, so who's saving? If something does go wrong, I can get new bits so I won't have to throw it away, ever perhaps.
By the way, it makes good toast too. The best thing is that the toast doesn't pop up, and toast is much crisper if you leave it down (keeping warm) inside the toaster for a minute or two. You can't usually do this with regular toasters.

Oustanding Kettle from DUALITIt's awesome. Excellent Functions and looks quite elegant in the kitchen or the buffet table.
Everyone likes the look of the polished stainless steel. The lids have large, heatproof ball knobs with finger guards and are also fitted with heatproof handles and oversized non-drip spouts. The Axis Kettle can be placed on its base at any rotary angle, with easy to read, clear water levels on either side.
I recommend this item to everyone who enjoys the versatile use of such a kettle!
A Great KettleA great looking kettle that is solidly built and should last for years. I wouldn't be without mine now - wish I had bought it years ago.

almost let bad review influence me ...all you have to do is follow the directions and turn the handle a few times, every few minutes. plenty of time to add extra ingredients without the problems one user has posted. maybe if you have some super-cold freezer, ice cream could stick to the sides very quickly but with our freezer on high, we haven't had any problems. the bucket is easy to clean, too. parts are very durable (i've already dropped the lid, and didn't crack it) ...
no ice, no salt, _quiet_, no electricity. no moving parts to break, nothing to wear out. don't think it's hard work, either. just a few cranks every couple of minutes. if you're thinking about buying this ice cream maker, go for it. i'm glad i did.
First Time Ice Cream MakerThe ice cream maker needs only a few cranks every couple minutes while the ice cream freezes. Its easy enough to use, clean, and store. So far we've been leaving the liner in the freezer so there's no waiting. The entire process is about 30 mins from start to finish. Glad I didn't buy an electric one.
The Ben & Jerry's ice cream book has a recipe for a no cook egg/sugar/cream base which is easy to make and tastes great. Haven't yet been concerned enough about the raw eggs to try a recipe that needs cooking (but I did go to the store to buy fresh eggs). So far the batches we made were only loosely based on recipes on the book - we mostly just threw in ingredients we had laying around the house. But the book gives enough background so one has an idea what will and won't work.

The Rolls Royce of ToastersThen I started using the toaster and found that it toasted bread evently and completely, unlike any other toaster I've ever had. The wide slots can accomodate virtually any kind of bread including our beloved bagels. We've also used the sandwich cage which is good for creating ham&cheese sandwiches and things of that nature for the kids. We utilize the one slice switch which focuses all energy in making the one slice and not heating up the slot where there is nothing to toast. It's also amazing that the toast stays in the unit when its finished, unlike other who pop up the toast, which causes the bread to cool down immediately.
I can't say enough good about the DUALIT toaster. We've tried virtually ever other brand of product and nothing will replace this Rolls Royce of toasters. We recommend this product highly and we're thrilled to see AMAZON.COM have all of the colors in the two and four slice range.

All Hype!It is clumsy, slow, hard to regulate and is consistant in that it never toasts the bread the same. Its a grab bag as to what your toast looks like.Over $300 for something that works like a $9.95 special.
