pizza everyday!
If you can tell that this is refurbished, then please let me know how! I've had this mixer for about 3 years, it sits on my counter and just about everyone who comes to my house is jealous. It is a bowl-lift type like seen on cooking shows. It is so powerful that I can leave it running to knead bread dough for about 15 minutes without any problem in having to move the dough around in the bowl. It's like the mixer has some kind of way of knowing what to do. It will also whip up whipped cream in no time flat, and if it keeps whipping, will make butter.
The mixer also came with a recipe guide and the pie crust recipe with the apple pie recipe puts my mom's apple pie to shame. Every recipe I've tried is flawless and easy. I also purchased the slicer/shredder and when large amounts of grated cheese are needed, this attachment makes it a very easy task. When people say they don't know how they lived without a Kitchen Aid mixer, they're not kidding. It is a beautiful machine that my daughter is already hoping to inherit.

325 watt 5 quart kitchenaid mixer
I just received my "factory reconditioned" 5 quart 325 watt white kitchenaid mixer. Perfect condition--it could sit on a store shelf. I have wanted this mixer for years. It makes mixing so much fun. I hope this will be offered again soon, so I can get one for my mother.

so pretty and powerful!
This mixer is just so cool. It looks great and mixes so beautifully! You just put your ingredients in and start mixing. You don't ever have to scrape the sides or the bottom to be sure it mixes evenly because it just does! I only wish it was 2 inches shorter so it would fit under my kitchen cabinets.

Love This Mixer
I had been longing for one of these for years and years but just couldn't justify the cost. When I found it reconditioned ..... at about half the "new" cost I couldn't pass it up and haven't had a second of regret.

I was instantly impressed by the condition as this mixer came out of the box. It appears to be new. Perhaps I got one someone recieved as a gift and just didn't want and returned - although the only possible reason for that would be they already own one and expect it to last forever. There is not a scratch nor any sign on any part that this mixer had ever been used at all.

Since the purchase of this mixer and it's "sister" appliance, the KitchenAid food processor, I have been cooking much more, and enjoying doing so infinately more than before I owned these. I have yet to give this mixer an assignment it can't handle. Double batches of cookie or pastry dough, no problem. In fact even double batches look small in the bowl and the motor shows not a hint of stress.

The mixer is a bit louder than I would have liked but I don't consider this a problem. My hand and stick mixers make as much noise. It doesn't interfere with a face-to-face conversation, but a telephone conversation might be best left for when you are finished. And who can't wait for the few minutes it takes to get even the biggest job done with this machine?

You will definately want to make a permanent place for this appliance on your countertop. It is HEAVY - which keeps it from moving around when given even the job of mixing 5 meatloaves, but could possibly either land you in traction or negate your need to go to the gym if you stored it away and had to move it frequently.

Adding ingredients can be tricky with the bowl lifted, but can be solved with most things by placing your dry ingredients on a piece of parchment paper and forming a type of "chute" to shake them in with.

Changing the attachments is even easier than changing the beaters on a hand mixer. Cleanup is a breeze. Wash the attachment by hand to keep from discoloring in the dishwasher and wipe down the machine with a damp cloth and dry with a paper towel. I'm sure this machine will look like new even when it is 30 years old.

Buy this and you won't regret it. I love mine!

dream mixer !
I had a cheap cheasy mixer that would dance off of the counter and made using it a nightmare. I was very pleased with the refurbished kitchenaid mixer especially the price! it works like a dream i can mix and walk away! Yeah!

One of the great buys on Amazon
This is a mixer I have always wanted to own. With Amazon's free shipping available on orders over $25, I couldn't pass up this deal. My Kitchenaid mixer arrived in just a few days. Even though it is a factory refurbished machine, it does not have a scratch, looks brand new and works like a charm. I could not be more pleased. One of the best deals around.

Terrific for everyday cooking
This product saves a lot of time in ingredient chopping for daily cooking, and even some entertaining duties like dips and spreads where you don't need perfect dicing. You will have to cut your vegetables into 1 inch chunks before chopping, but it still saves time and it's very easy to clean. Chopping onion, green pepper & celery for jambalaya took 3 pulses for each vegetable. Garlic, onion & cilantro for salsa were done together in seconds. A garlic clove and other small amounts of anything will fly up to the top of the bowl away from the blade, so chop it with another part of the recipe or do several cloves at once, ditto for fresh herbs. It is not going to replace hand chopping for vegetables that need to be uniform (as in asian cooking) and perfect-looking (as for a condiment tray for company) and tomatoes become puree in 3 pulses unless you really make them small pieces before processing, so I still chop tomatoes by hand. Overall, I love mine and wouldn't be without one now.

Good Product!!!
The Factory Reconditioned Cuisinart DLC-1FR 21-Ounce Mini-Prep Food Processor waa great buy for us. Easy to use, easy to clean, small enough to leave out on the counter without getting in the way. We had no problem with out unit cosmetically. It looked brand new. When we first used it for a job that took more than 30 seconds to chop/blend, we could smell a very slight odor as the motor got warm, but with the enclosed bowl none of that affected the taste of the food. If you are chopping something like an onion, you still have to cut it up into medium size pieces but it's great for blending up sauces or eggs for an omelet. We have larger processors for big jobs but this fits the bill when cooking for one or two people. The price was so good that we bought three so we could give a couple as gifts, and after using ours we have no reservations in it as a gift.

Great, Little Machine
This is a great, little machine. It takes up very little counter space and is cute so it is easy to leave out and use. It is great for chopping or mixing small amounts. Cleans easily. The reversible blade design is a neat feature. It came very well packaged, in mint condition, and at a great price. It would be difficult to find a better deal on a mini food processor than this one. I saw it at my favorite department store for just under [money] new. I think I like it better, like new, delivered to my door for just [money] including shipping. Good deal.

A Bad Product
I had a Farberware Convection Oven for many years, which was a fantastic oven. However, it finally died, and it is no longer being made. Loving convection cooking, I started a search for another convection oven. While shopping with my daughter, I came across the XL Toaster oven/rotisserie convection oven. I was thrilled, and purchased it. I have read the manual several times, and connot make head or tail out of it. It gives only one small paragraph on convection cooking, which tells you absolutely nothing. It either burns, or everything comes out half cooked. I have never been so disappointed in a product. I feel that I have wasted my money, and been cheated. Nothing seems to work. I cannot even get the stupid basket open. The rotisserie is a joke. Everything is either too big or too heavy. The racks are either too high or too low. You cannot put a rack over the drip pan, since the slide is taken up by the drip pan. It is a badly engineered product. I would love to get rid of it, and hope that you might have a solution for me.

Not a quality product
If you are buying for the Rotisserie, don't. The ends continue to pop out and thus it quits turning. The food burns on one side and the other side is raw. It is an engineering nightmare. The rotisserie can get stuck in the machine and the food is almost impossible to get out after it is done (on one side). It is a waste of money.

You Likka, We MAKKA
While we purchased not this model but the smaller rotisserie oven without convection, we'd like to make a few comments on Euro-Pro quality. First, we were amazed that the accessories were so cheap and appeared to have been recycled from other products. The small white "pizza stone" looks like an unglazed floor tile, and the cookie sheets of paper-thin flexible aluminum look like those folding upright spatter guards. The hingelike edges are ideally supposed to grip the oven rack and convert it into a pan so you can lift the whole thing out, but they hardly work. The racks, though sturdy stainless steel, are our main criticism. You can't slide them out very far without their tipping, and the adjustable height could have better spacing. To make matters worse, in lieu of one's being bent at the sides, both are completely straight, so you can't turn one upside down to get it closer to the bottom, or vice versa. To remove hot food safely, you must wait for the elements to cool down, pull rack out no more than 1 1/2 inches, use a fork or other utensil to side pan out an inch or two, and lift pan out with a potholder or slide it onto a plate; we've had oven mitts catch on fire cuz they got too close to the hot elements. This aside, we were pleased with the oven's generous size and functions. We've had it two years and it's still going strong. It bakes like a dream, once you figure out the European temperature settings, which are 18 degrees apart instead of 25 and aren't marked at US intervals. To preheat faster, set on "Toast," then switch to "Bake" when proper temperature is reached. Toasting is great, as long as you don't overcrowd both racks and block the heat. However, the time-bake function broke down after 6 months and no longer shuts the oven off reliably, especially at higher temperatures, a real safety hazard if left unattended. (The spring mechanism gets overheated, we imagine.) Preprepared frozen dinners are still too close to the bottom heating element and must be transferred to a heat-proof pan to bake safely. The on-light glows a very dim amber like a road reflector and is hardly visible under normal lighting conditions. The timer bell is the same, hardly audible, like a toy cash register's. The rotisserie is too light duty except for small items like shish kabob. When it comes to broiling, we really miss our old Toast-R-Oven (now made by Black and Decker, we heard), which had a much better top heating design. Euro-Pro's elements are too far apart.

Stopped working after 7 months
I bought this toaster 7 months ago. Recently one side no longer heats up.

Great toaster for homemade bread
I gave up a thin slot toaster to the thrift store several years ago. The bread would get caught in the wires, burn, set off the smoke detector.... Since I have used the oven broiler. That is not very energy efficient so I decided it was time to try again.

This model is of better quality than any I saw in the stores. I shopped at Wal-mart, Lowes, Dillards, K-Mart.... This one beats them all. And it is a great price.

It does take 2 cycles on high to toast a bagel. I buy frozen bagels, defrost them in the microwave and then split them. You can put an unsplit bagel in and this toaster can take it, but I like them toasted on the inside. They come out crispy and chewy on the outside and soft and fresh-baked tasting on the inside. Definitely a vast improvement over the old toaster... or oven toasting under the broiler.

The thunk when the toast pops up is disconcerting. Maybe I'll get use to it. For now, it makes me jump and look to see what Checkers the cat has knocked over. Nothing. Weird.

The old toaster had a flimsy depress lever.... One day I smelled something burning and discovered her on the toaster and her tail inside. This has not happened with the new toaster. Yet. Perhaps it is because the Cusinart's lever is recessed and it does not catch until you depress it ALL the way down. Perhaps she just has not discovered the new toy.

It looked brand new out of the box. No crumbs in the crumb tray. No sign of use. It comes with a 3 month warranty.

It uses quartz bulbs to toast the bread. Not the wire elements we are use to that frequently would burn out or would short if broken.

I have had this toaster for a month. It does toaster pastries and strudels perfectly. Toast from thick slices homemade bread or thin slices of raisin nut loaf is a breeze now. It is a keeper.

Love those bagels
I too thought the clunk when the bagel pops up was a little loud. So many toasters now have a silent pop up, but at least you know it's there! Did 2 bagels (separately) frozen, took 2 cycles on about #3, and they were great! A little crisp on the outside, nice and soft on the inside. Haven't tried toast yet, but I'm sure it will be fine. [$]for a [more money] toaster also was a deal too good to pass up.
