Great gift -- for yourself, or someone elseI've always enjoyed the George Foreman grills. When it's too cold out to use a proper BBQ, or you just don't want to take the time, a GF grill is just the ticket. Easy to use, easy to clean, and with its long-lasting non-stick surface, you'll be enjoying it for a long time to come. The jumbo model included with this combo is big enough for the whole family, or allows you to make extra ahead for lunch the next day.
But the real gem is the rotisserie, and is where I was most surprised. If you enjoy whole roast chicken from one of the restaurant chains or your local grocery, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you're able to make it at home -- with the added benefit of controlling everything that goes into it. Simple recipes accompany the appliance, and the results are just delicious.
The rotisserie comes with skewers for ka-bobs, or a basket for smaller foods like chicken legs or a small roast.
Definitely one of my favorite gifts this past season, it gets a big thumb's up.
Great Buy!!!I just received my grill & rotisserie today so I haven't used them yet. I had a smaller Foreman grill and this one is about double the size! The rotisserie looks great too. I'm sure I'll love the rotisserie as much as I will the grill. Since I had the smaller grill I can speak from experience about how great they are! Makes fixing dinner a whole lot easier since my husband was put on a low-fat diet by his doctor.

Recommended but not without reservationsFirst of all, in-door GRILL means there will be smoke. Not as much as those charcoal but since you do not cook out door, you do need a good range hood. So there goes your stove top.
Next problem is cleaning. Thanks to the teflon coating, cleaning is relatively easy. But the designer decided to make it more challenging by disallowing you to remove the grill surface nor wash it under water. It DOES get dirty and depends on what you are cooking, it could mean a lot of work!
My Foreman Rules
I can cook now!
- 8-by-18-inch nonstick cooking surfaces for family-size meals
- Grills four burgers, two steaks, four chicken breasts--plus seafood, vegetables
- Top and bottom grills cook foods in minutes
- Overall, measures 8-1/2 inches wide, 6 inches high, 10 inches deep
- Extender feet raise grill for easier filling of taco shells
List price: $69.99 (that's 14% off!)

Grilling Without BugsThe small grill would be too small for family cooking, but has been great for two! Simplicity itself -- plug in, heat up, cook! When you're finished, unplug! Cleanup is swift and easy. I originally thought it had to be cleaned while it was still hot, which was very inconvenient, but I have discovered that a couple of wadded up wet paper towels clean it in a jiffy when dinner is over.
My husband passed away earlier this year. Who's going to bake or broil one steak, one chicken breast or one serving of fish? Now "My George" grills for one! No heating the oven, no splattering on the stove top! I put a potato in the microwave to bake while my steak grills, fix a little salad, and in fifteen minutes I have a great, nutritious meal for one!

George Foreman Plus-Sized Grill
I love this grill! The ease of use is it's best quality. Convenience saves time although that brings us to the only problem we've found..cleaning up. It would help if the grill part was removable to clean. Although I've had various waffle makers that had the metal parts removable and springs broke, moisture got underneath into the mechanical areas and it also became a hassle so we don't find this is too big a problem as there are less parts to keep track of. All in all we love it!
Worthwhile investment! This particular model comes with 2 spatulas and 2 dip trays. Yes, the grill can be hard to clean if you don't wipe it off right away. The best way to clean it is to use the spatulas to scrape off the grill as soon as you remove your food. Then, as soon as you've eaten (and the grill has cooled a bit), wipe the grill down with warm, soapy paper towels. If you wait too long, the grease is hard to remove (be sure to wipe under the rim, too, for grease builds up there and might be hard to see). I haven't had any trouble with the teflon coating coming off, and I also find the spatulas easy to use (though they are a bit flimsy, but you can use any plastic utensil you want). The spatulas don't work as well scraping the grease from the very tip of the grill's bottom piece, as the grooves are deeper there than elsewhere. But for the job it does, the clean-up is worth it. This model is large, making it difficult to store in certain cabinets, but I use mine so often it just stays on the counter.
I would definitely recommend a George Foreman grill of any kind. It delivers what it promises: healthier food, and fast! You'll find yourself using the oven a lot less.

It's slowly replacing my oven!I cook a lot of chicken, either in the skillet, or in the oven. With this grill, you don't have to worry about turning the chicken, watching it, etc. All I really do it watch the clock. The first night I had the grill, I made salmon fillets, and they turned out great.
While I love the grill so far, there are a few things to watch out for. The first time I cooked chicken, I overcooked it..you kind of need to play around with the times in the booklet enclosed with the grill. I also found that I needed to push the grease tray farther back (closer to the grill) than I initially thought. Also, it does get quite smoky, so it would probably be most ideal if your kitchen had some kind of window.
With cleaning, you really do have to do it while the grill is still warm, or it makes it a lot harder to clean off.
I've barely used my oven since getting this grill..in the summer it will be great not having to heat up the whole house.
We use it instead of stove or oven and even gas grillIf you pound out chicken breasts, you can grill them in about two minutes, making for a pretty fast and healthful lunch entree, such as Chicken Caesar Salad (open a bag of pre-torn romaine, top with chicken, add croutons and cheese and dressing, done.) Grilling small steaks works just fine, better than in the oven gas broiler in my opinion. Only hamburgers are a bit problematic in that the grease, which congeals, is a bit hard to remove from the grill. What we do is to put several very wet paper towels on the grill after we unplug it, and after it cools a bit. This loosens the fat and sends it into the drip tray. Afterwards, it's a matter of wiping down the surfaces when the grill is cool enough to work on. It takes a few minutes, but the wet paper towels have loosened any cooked-on juices.
Worthy of the hype.Well, we have now had it one week and thus far I have already prepared: chicken breasts, salmon, cod, hotdogs, hamburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, potatoes, and even ostrich (the most nutritional red meat there is)! Each of these things were among the best I've ever tasted. The quality of the grilling rivals that of any I've ever achieved on an outdoor grill. Each meal took under 10 minutes (including pre-heating) to cook, and 5 minutes to clean up. I cannot say enough about this product.
I recommend buying at least the family size grill. It's perfect for easily getting multiple items on at the same time. For example, I grilled three burgers and some sliced, red skinned potatoes at the same time. This size seems perfect for 2 or 3 people, despite claims that it can hold enough for 5 or 6 people.

- Top and bottom nonstick grills cook food in minutes without turning
- 7-by-9-inch cooking surface accommodates three big burgers or chicken breasts
- Also grills steaks, chops, fish, vegetables; floating hinge adjusts to thickness
- Warmer built into top for buns, English muffins, tortillas, bagels, and more
- Sloped channels in bottom grill permit fat to run off into drip tray

So easyDespite reviews I was anticipating a rough clean up, and looking at the thing when my steaks came off made me think it would be even worse... But I was proved wrong. The included spatula made it SO easy to clean. Bits that looked hard and caked on came off in a second. Grease trap was easy too, and when I was done I just stored everything in the bun warmer untill next time. Fits great in my small apartment, but is big enough to cook a meal for two. I can't wait to try more stuff on it. Highly recommended
fast and no mess grillI like it so much that I bought 5 more grills in exact model to gift to my brothers and friends.
The key is in the warm buns...

Quick and EasyI bought the foreman grill to reduce the amount of time I would have to spend in the kitchen to cook a home-cooked meal. In many ways, this grill has accomplished just that.
I tried cooking a medium-sized chicken breast on the grill last night. I made several observations:
The chicken breast stays flat on the grill, and doesn't slide down, but you have to hold there for an instant.
If you don't cut the chicken up into smaller pieces, or if you don't make pre-cuts in the chicken before-hand, the grill won't cook the inside of the chicken properly. The outsides had those charred marks, but the inside was very pink.
It seems that one side of the grill cooks more efficiently and faster than the other side.
The total chicken took about 8 minutes.
The grill is relatively easy to clean. Right after you finish cooking the meat, unplug the grill and wait a few minutes for the grill to be semi-warm and then wipe the surface with a damp paper towel. You should be able to pick up most of the gunk on the grill.
The grill does get very hot on the surface above the grill. The only surface on the grill that you can touch with your barehands is probably the very top edge (plastic-coated).
The chicken meat when I was finished came out relatively dry on the outside, but was very juicy on the inside. Considering that this was one of my first tries in cooking chicken (on any cooking device for that matter) I think that the grill is relatively child's play.
The bun warmer cover shouldn't fall off if you have it properly closed. I constantly opened and closed my grill to check on my chicken and the cover did not fall off repeatedly as some reviewers have said. I imagine their unit might have had a defect?
There is a bit of smoke that comes from the grill, and like a charcoal grill, will make your clothes smell afterwards. I recommend operating the unit over the stove and turning the fan on.
Got this grill on sale for $24 and I believe that it was well worth it. I hate to wash oven pans b/c of the grease that coats the surface. I hate to clean pots and frying pans b/c of the oil build-up, but with only one surface to clean; the foreman grill is very quick and efficient for the college student.
The Perfect Size Grill!Boy, did I. I made nice, juicy burgers topped with thick slices of tomato, green pepper and onion, served on a nicely warmed, not toasted, bun. Just throw it all together and pop it on the grill and 5-6 minutes later its dinnertime! No need to melt cheese while the burgers are on the grill, the come out hot enough that you can just top them off on the plate.
Boneless, skinless chicken breast turned out perfect, not rubbery like some reviewers said. A breast that normally takes 20 minutes to bake took half the time with the Foreman Grill.
My wife is a veggie and she is pleased with how her Boca burgers turned out as well.
The bun warmer is essential. Don't buy the models without one, you'll regret it. The basic model my Mom has is too small for more than one big burger at a time. The Supersized model I purchased is perfect. Three items fit nicely, yet it's not as huge as the family sized one. No sense heating surface area you're not using.
Cleanup is a two-damp paper towel affair if you do it as soon as you unplug the grill. Don't worry, the food is hot and in those few seconds it won't get cold. Also, other reviews have indicated that you shouldn't immediately close the hot grill after use, so as to avoid the teflon deteriorating. Makes sense to me. Mom's is several years old and looks like new, after moderate use.
One warning, the photos aren't totally accurate. I didn't realize the base of the supersized grills are silver, not white. I would have ordered a different color bun warmer if I had known.
I avoid most food "machines" because they get used at first and then take up shelf space. The Foreman Grill is an exception, along with a bread machine I use often to make dough, my food processor that always in use and the coffeemaker. Don't be afraid to try one.
