The George Foreman Grill you mother always wanted...
There are too many great things to say about this little device: It's affordable to anybody, even if you are a student stuck living at school. It's compact, you can store it anywhere--a closet, your car, your office, the kitchen cabinet. It's powerful--I have plugged it in and in just minutes began working on an entire three course meal for six people with only this unit to work with. It's easy to clean--this is one of the few products out there that is every bit as easy to clean as the commercials show it to be on TV. It's is economical, using very little electricity to do a just that would waste electricity in a conventional oven or even an older model microwave oven. It's versatile--I have cooked everything from thin pieces of tempeh strips to thick steaks and it cooks both to perfection. You never would have been able to convince me to buy anything on TV before (and most certainly not from a former boxing champion...) but since a friend both this grill for me I have thanked them time and again (and in turn bought the same gift for many a friend of my own).

Great gift -- for yourself, or someone else
I received this combo as a Christmas gift, and I guess I was skeptical. But after using both parts of the combo several times, I'm sold.

I've always enjoyed the George Foreman grills. When it's too cold out to use a proper BBQ, or you just don't want to take the time, a GF grill is just the ticket. Easy to use, easy to clean, and with its long-lasting non-stick surface, you'll be enjoying it for a long time to come. The jumbo model included with this combo is big enough for the whole family, or allows you to make extra ahead for lunch the next day.

But the real gem is the rotisserie, and is where I was most surprised. If you enjoy whole roast chicken from one of the restaurant chains or your local grocery, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you're able to make it at home -- with the added benefit of controlling everything that goes into it. Simple recipes accompany the appliance, and the results are just delicious.

The rotisserie comes with skewers for ka-bobs, or a basket for smaller foods like chicken legs or a small roast.

Definitely one of my favorite gifts this past season, it gets a big thumb's up.

Great Buy!!!
Don't pass this up just because you can't see a picture. You can look them up separately to see the picts. and get the info. You'll also get sticker shock at the same time. This is a STEAL!!!

I just received my grill & rotisserie today so I haven't used them yet. I had a smaller Foreman grill and this one is about double the size! The rotisserie looks great too. I'm sure I'll love the rotisserie as much as I will the grill. Since I had the smaller grill I can speak from experience about how great they are! Makes fixing dinner a whole lot easier since my husband was put on a low-fat diet by his doctor.

Can't beat it
You can't beat this deal if you could! The baby rotisserie alone goes for $60 and the Jumbo grill goes for $75 alone. I have the mini George Foreman grill and I live by it. I can't wait until I use the rotisserie.

Recommended but not without reservations
The grill is useful in handling small scale grill like cooking. Enough for 2 people, or 2 burgers. It cooks a nice grill including beef, chicken, fish, etc. However, it does comes with some drawbacks.
First of all, in-door GRILL means there will be smoke. Not as much as those charcoal but since you do not cook out door, you do need a good range hood. So there goes your stove top.
Next problem is cleaning. Thanks to the teflon coating, cleaning is relatively easy. But the designer decided to make it more challenging by disallowing you to remove the grill surface nor wash it under water. It DOES get dirty and depends on what you are cooking, it could mean a lot of work!

My Foreman Rules
We received this grill for x-mas last year and absolutely love it! It comes in handy for those midnight cravings for burgers. We just pop our frozen patties in and in minutes we have burgers! The bun warmer is great if you like your buns warm... however, we prefer ours toasted, so we rarely use that feature. It is a really good gift for one or two people, since the cooking surface is so small. I think once our little family grows we are going to invest in a larger Foreman without the bun warmer!

I can cook now!
This grill rocks! Seriously, I'm the farthest thing from a chef and the George Forman grill has turned me into a wannabe culinary artist. I used to burn water and now I can grill up a steak or make a grilled chicken salad or WHATEVER! I've even had friends over for dinner which was a pure shock for everyone involved. Cleaning it is also relatively simple. While I'm sure some people don't enjoy actually having to clean anything manually, it's really not a difficult task unless you're too lethargic from eating a good meal. Or lazy, of course. In the words of Yoda: For the price, a kitchen staple, this grill is.

Grilling Without Bugs
My husband saw a George Foreman infomercial, thought it looked good and sent me out to find one. I bought model GR20, the original small version, several years ago. Shortly after starting to use "Our George" I gave away my outdoor gas grill! My husband was severely handicapped, and cooking, whether indoor or outdoor, was up to me. Why stand outside over a smoking grill, swatting mosquitos while I cook, when I can get the same result in my air conditioned kitchen?

The small grill would be too small for family cooking, but has been great for two! Simplicity itself -- plug in, heat up, cook! When you're finished, unplug! Cleanup is swift and easy. I originally thought it had to be cleaned while it was still hot, which was very inconvenient, but I have discovered that a couple of wadded up wet paper towels clean it in a jiffy when dinner is over.

My husband passed away earlier this year. Who's going to bake or broil one steak, one chicken breast or one serving of fish? Now "My George" grills for one! No heating the oven, no splattering on the stove top! I put a potato in the microwave to bake while my steak grills, fix a little salad, and in fifteen minutes I have a great, nutritious meal for one!

Incredible Product
Simple to use. Quick. Easy to clean up. Makes food taste delicious. Quality construction. I use this to prepare 4-5 meals a week - and am never disappointed. It makes delicious chicken, burgers, grilled sandwiches, fish, steaks, vegetables, quesadillas, fajitas, etc... I love the fact that there are no complicated switches or settings, just plug it in and get cooking. What a relief from todays overly complicated world. I received my grill as a gift, and now it is my gift of choice to others. Those who receive it may at first have hesitations (George Foreman grill - wasn't that on a cheesy infomercial?), but once they use it - they absolutely love it. My only complaint is that it is a little small to cook for 3 or 4 people - the larger model maybe the way to go.

No doubt...AWESOME
I bought this grill 3 to 4 yrs ago and it is just now starting to wear. We use it consstantly as it is the most convenient appliance out there. In todays society where we want everything fast this is no exception. Burgers in 4 min. I couldn't believe it till I did it. I now have to find what size and style I want for my new one.

George Foreman Plus-Sized Grill
Very convenient for cooking bacon (crispy with NO splatters). Burgers & steaks are tasty, although a different, not "outdoor grill", taste. Nice sized cooking area allows about 7 bacon strips, 2 medium sized steaks, 4 to 6 burgers. Dislikes: VERY loose lid (wobbles), no timer so difficult to tell when burgers are done. Rather messy clean-up (best done while grill is still warm). I wash with sponge & dishwashing liquid, and use LOTS of paper towels to wipe grill area, using drip trays to catch "run-off".. Also, the drip trays are not very heat tolerant, and peeled with first use (I would recommend hand washing, rather than using dishwasher, because of this). I still would recommend the grill for it's convenience of grilling indoors with less mess than conventional oven or frying pan (I'm purchasing another one for my parents).

I love this grill!
This has to be my most used kitchen appliance! Someone in this house uses it daily at some point because it's so easy to throw in a frozen piece of meat..include some frozen/fresh veggies and you have a warm, healthy meal in minutes with no grease, no draining and no defrosting. MUCH better than having the kids microwave some pre-made, unhealthy 'quickie food' from the freezer when hungry. Thas was my favorite part, being able to throw in a frozen chicken breast and have it cooked perfectly, quickly and with no hassle. Plus the huge size allows me to add enough meat for the entire family and no cooking for hours either.

The ease of use is it's best quality. Convenience saves time although that brings us to the only problem we've found..cleaning up. It would help if the grill part was removable to clean. Although I've had various waffle makers that had the metal parts removable and springs broke, moisture got underneath into the mechanical areas and it also became a hassle so we don't find this is too big a problem as there are less parts to keep track of. All in all we love it!

Worthwhile investment!
If you have a family of four (or less if they're big eaters!) this is the grill for you. So far, I've cooked chicken, hamburger, and steaks on it, all in less than 10 minutes. Although it comes with a handy cookbook, you'll be able to adapt many of your regular recipes for use with this grill, whether the recipes call for grilling, broiling, frying, or baking. The grill holds about 3 "whopper" sized burgers, 4 good-sized burgers, or 6 smaller ones. For chicken breasts, it can hold 4-6 (maybe more) depending on size.

This particular model comes with 2 spatulas and 2 dip trays. Yes, the grill can be hard to clean if you don't wipe it off right away. The best way to clean it is to use the spatulas to scrape off the grill as soon as you remove your food. Then, as soon as you've eaten (and the grill has cooled a bit), wipe the grill down with warm, soapy paper towels. If you wait too long, the grease is hard to remove (be sure to wipe under the rim, too, for grease builds up there and might be hard to see). I haven't had any trouble with the teflon coating coming off, and I also find the spatulas easy to use (though they are a bit flimsy, but you can use any plastic utensil you want). The spatulas don't work as well scraping the grease from the very tip of the grill's bottom piece, as the grooves are deeper there than elsewhere. But for the job it does, the clean-up is worth it. This model is large, making it difficult to store in certain cabinets, but I use mine so often it just stays on the counter.

I would definitely recommend a George Foreman grill of any kind. It delivers what it promises: healthier food, and fast! You'll find yourself using the oven a lot less.

It's slowly replacing my oven!
I had wanted to get this grill for awhile, but was still a little leery of its merits. I finally bought it anyway, and so far, have been loving it! I anticipate that during the summer it will replace my oven.

I cook a lot of chicken, either in the skillet, or in the oven. With this grill, you don't have to worry about turning the chicken, watching it, etc. All I really do it watch the clock. The first night I had the grill, I made salmon fillets, and they turned out great.

While I love the grill so far, there are a few things to watch out for. The first time I cooked chicken, I overcooked it..you kind of need to play around with the times in the booklet enclosed with the grill. I also found that I needed to push the grease tray farther back (closer to the grill) than I initially thought. Also, it does get quite smoky, so it would probably be most ideal if your kitchen had some kind of window.

With cleaning, you really do have to do it while the grill is still warm, or it makes it a lot harder to clean off.

I've barely used my oven since getting this grill..in the summer it will be great not having to heat up the whole house.

We use it instead of stove or oven and even gas grill
This is replacing frying pan, stovetop griddle and oven for many of our dinners and definitely lunches. The Foreman grill in family size is a better buy, as the standard grill is really a one-person item. We found that even two standard, preformed hamburgers don't fit well on the basic grill, so if you plan to feed two or more, this grill is more useful.

If you pound out chicken breasts, you can grill them in about two minutes, making for a pretty fast and healthful lunch entree, such as Chicken Caesar Salad (open a bag of pre-torn romaine, top with chicken, add croutons and cheese and dressing, done.) Grilling small steaks works just fine, better than in the oven gas broiler in my opinion. Only hamburgers are a bit problematic in that the grease, which congeals, is a bit hard to remove from the grill. What we do is to put several very wet paper towels on the grill after we unplug it, and after it cools a bit. This loosens the fat and sends it into the drip tray. Afterwards, it's a matter of wiping down the surfaces when the grill is cool enough to work on. It takes a few minutes, but the wet paper towels have loosened any cooked-on juices.

Worthy of the hype.
First off, let me state that I never buy anything that I see on television or any mass-marketed, "must own" product. With my wife being 8 months pregnant, it suddenly became a priority for me to pitch in and take care of some meals. We purchased the George Foreman "Family Size" grill, thinking that I could grill some things up without trudging outside to fire up the gas grill, cooking it, and scraping the grill, etc.

Well, we have now had it one week and thus far I have already prepared: chicken breasts, salmon, cod, hotdogs, hamburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, potatoes, and even ostrich (the most nutritional red meat there is)! Each of these things were among the best I've ever tasted. The quality of the grilling rivals that of any I've ever achieved on an outdoor grill. Each meal took under 10 minutes (including pre-heating) to cook, and 5 minutes to clean up. I cannot say enough about this product.

I recommend buying at least the family size grill. It's perfect for easily getting multiple items on at the same time. For example, I grilled three burgers and some sliced, red skinned potatoes at the same time. This size seems perfect for 2 or 3 people, despite claims that it can hold enough for 5 or 6 people.

Not well made
I'm giving this 2 stars because it works great for small and quick meals. However, after my third use, the lever to the warming lid broke off. Now it is secured with duct tape. Yucky. After the sixth use, the back of the unit, the white coated metal is now a burnt brown color. Makes me nervous that it gets hot enough to color the body so quickly! As with any appliance, do not leave unattended!

Wow, I just had the nicest piece of tofu...

Excellent Buy
We've had it for a couple of weeks and it has cut our meal preparation time in half (at least). We had the best chicken ever tonight, juicy but well cooked. Despite what other reviewers claim, this unit is easy to clean, requiring no more than a few minutes with a damp sponge and a paper towel. Watch your fingers on the metal edges, thought, it gets hot!

So easy
I am a complete grilling novice. I have never been able to use an actual grill to any sort of sucess, my food would either be charred or raw. I got this grill hoping to change that and it is AMAZING. Big enough to cook two medium size steaks, I slapped them on, let them cook for 9 minutes and they came out perfectly, no flipping and no worrying about temerature control.

Despite reviews I was anticipating a rough clean up, and looking at the thing when my steaks came off made me think it would be even worse... But I was proved wrong. The included spatula made it SO easy to clean. Bits that looked hard and caked on came off in a second. Grease trap was easy too, and when I was done I just stored everything in the bun warmer untill next time. Fits great in my small apartment, but is big enough to cook a meal for two. I can't wait to try more stuff on it. Highly recommended

fast and no mess grill
I love this grill. It grills steak within 5 min, chicken in 2 min, and clean up only takes 2 min. It leaves my kitchen nice and clean, no mess at all. I dread the outside BBQ because of the insects flying around the food, the taking too long to cook, and the grill-mess to clean up. Now, I am eating the exact BBQ food within minutes in the comfort of my home without bug.
I like it so much that I bought 5 more grills in exact model to gift to my brothers and friends.

The key is in the warm buns...

Quick and Easy
I identify myself as a person who doesn't like to spend too much time in the kitchen.
I bought the foreman grill to reduce the amount of time I would have to spend in the kitchen to cook a home-cooked meal. In many ways, this grill has accomplished just that.

I tried cooking a medium-sized chicken breast on the grill last night. I made several observations:

The chicken breast stays flat on the grill, and doesn't slide down, but you have to hold there for an instant.

If you don't cut the chicken up into smaller pieces, or if you don't make pre-cuts in the chicken before-hand, the grill won't cook the inside of the chicken properly. The outsides had those charred marks, but the inside was very pink.

It seems that one side of the grill cooks more efficiently and faster than the other side.
The total chicken took about 8 minutes.

The grill is relatively easy to clean. Right after you finish cooking the meat, unplug the grill and wait a few minutes for the grill to be semi-warm and then wipe the surface with a damp paper towel. You should be able to pick up most of the gunk on the grill.

The grill does get very hot on the surface above the grill. The only surface on the grill that you can touch with your barehands is probably the very top edge (plastic-coated).

The chicken meat when I was finished came out relatively dry on the outside, but was very juicy on the inside. Considering that this was one of my first tries in cooking chicken (on any cooking device for that matter) I think that the grill is relatively child's play.

The bun warmer cover shouldn't fall off if you have it properly closed. I constantly opened and closed my grill to check on my chicken and the cover did not fall off repeatedly as some reviewers have said. I imagine their unit might have had a defect?

There is a bit of smoke that comes from the grill, and like a charcoal grill, will make your clothes smell afterwards. I recommend operating the unit over the stove and turning the fan on.

Got this grill on sale for $24 and I believe that it was well worth it. I hate to wash oven pans b/c of the grease that coats the surface. I hate to clean pots and frying pans b/c of the oil build-up, but with only one surface to clean; the foreman grill is very quick and efficient for the college student.

The Perfect Size Grill!
First, let me say I always thought the George Foreman Grill craze was a joke, until I borrowed one from my parents. My Mom's cooking skills often led to a dinner-time fight over Lucky Joe, our German Shepard. No, we weren't grilling him... we wanted his undivided attention under the table so we could offload our plates, since he thought Mom's cooking was super. The George Foreman grill helped Mom make a delicious burger the other day and I was intrigued. She let me keep hers for a few days to see if I would actually use it.

Boy, did I. I made nice, juicy burgers topped with thick slices of tomato, green pepper and onion, served on a nicely warmed, not toasted, bun. Just throw it all together and pop it on the grill and 5-6 minutes later its dinnertime! No need to melt cheese while the burgers are on the grill, the come out hot enough that you can just top them off on the plate.

Boneless, skinless chicken breast turned out perfect, not rubbery like some reviewers said. A breast that normally takes 20 minutes to bake took half the time with the Foreman Grill.

My wife is a veggie and she is pleased with how her Boca burgers turned out as well.

The bun warmer is essential. Don't buy the models without one, you'll regret it. The basic model my Mom has is too small for more than one big burger at a time. The Supersized model I purchased is perfect. Three items fit nicely, yet it's not as huge as the family sized one. No sense heating surface area you're not using.

Cleanup is a two-damp paper towel affair if you do it as soon as you unplug the grill. Don't worry, the food is hot and in those few seconds it won't get cold. Also, other reviews have indicated that you shouldn't immediately close the hot grill after use, so as to avoid the teflon deteriorating. Makes sense to me. Mom's is several years old and looks like new, after moderate use.

One warning, the photos aren't totally accurate. I didn't realize the base of the supersized grills are silver, not white. I would have ordered a different color bun warmer if I had known.

I avoid most food "machines" because they get used at first and then take up shelf space. The Foreman Grill is an exception, along with a bread machine I use often to make dough, my food processor that always in use and the coffeemaker. Don't be afraid to try one.

I have the Red one, but Purple cooks just as well
There are too many great things to say about this little device: It's affordable to anybody, even if you are a student stuck living at school.
