I love the processor/blender but...
I wish the processor came with a recipe book. I have many uses for the appliance, but would have many more if it came with some recipes or even usage tips to go with the juicer, processor, and blender. There is absolutely nothing to go on except for some recommended chopping speeds in the user manual. I couldn't even find anything on the web! Other than that, I love the various speeds and blades. Also, cleanup seems to be easy so far (except the juicer - grapes get messy). Carrots seemed to stain the shredding blade holder (it's white), but the orange stains faded within hours and it looks as good as new. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a multi-tasker.

So far so good
It's one of life's little mysteries. With all of our advanced technology and engineering capabilities; why can't someone make a decent blender? Can it really be that difficult? What truly shocks me is that the blender I bought 20+ years ago to see me through college still works, yet every new blender I buy to replace it fails within moments of use. Thank God that I've held on to my old standard as a backup, Sure only one out of 20 some odd speeds still works, but the fundamentals are still there and it makes a great margarita (come on - I did buy this for college after all!).

We've tried a Waring - the motor smoked on the second use. We bought an Ultrex and it has a great motor but the blade assembly continually freezes up and needs to be replaced. We've read all the reviews on all the other blenders on Amazon and it is apparent that the entire selection offered by every manufacturer is sub-standard at best. We bought the Euro-Pro based upon it's unique design and I am happy to report that it works remarkably well for it's price/feature set.

It makes a great margaritas (some things never change!) and it does a decent job busting up the ice into consistent, minute sized particles. If it can do this, than a smoothy would be no problem at all. We've used the food processor for various tasks and it also works remarkably well. It has a great little blender/beater bar that is great fun to watch (very cool!) and it creamed butter quite nicely. The tools and accessories are nicely stowed away, which is a tribute to the careful design that went into the final product. The motor is strong and both blender and processor make the most of what it has to offer. The only downside is that the makers assume that you know all about a food processor - if you're a novice, then you'll need to either experiment or get advice on what all the tools are and how to use them.

Pros:
Compact design
Nice & slick storage
Plenty of power
Decent at crushing ice

Cons:
No recipe book
No explanation on how all the tools & attachments are to be used
Could have a wider speed selection - 1 through 8 are really close, turbo is a quantum leap from the others

Bottom line is that we're very happy with this unit. We'll hold onto "ol' faithful" for awhile yet, just to make sure that we're in the clear, but so far so good - which is a lot more than I can say for the past few blenders we've tried. The five starts are relative to the others we've tried and compared. It could be better, but the rest are very sub-par.

If anything ever changes, we'll update our review.

This One Beats Them All
I threw out my old stand mixer some years ago, swearing never to get another one if it couldn't mix the 7-cup French and Italian bread doughs which I make every week. Behold! Santa Claus deposited this on my kitchen counter two weeks before Christmas, and I am in love. It is a real work-horse, does an excellent job of mixing and initial kneading of any bread dough. You still have to finish kneading by hand - which won't upset any home-baker - but the DeLonghi reliably does the grunt work without whining or groaning. Its dough-hook action means there is no heap of flour at the bottom of the bowl, nor does the dough mass crawl up the hook arm... The resulting bread texture is finer and more even than when I was doing it by hand. The machine handled stollen, babka, a big pound cake and produced excellent genoise sponge with higher and more tender layers than I normally achieve. I believe that this mixer is the result of DeLonghi buying out British Kenmore, whose mixers were also reliable, heavy-duty workers. Unfortunately DeLonghi has not solved the Kenmore noise factor - it is still a loud motor. But it is also unshakeable & won't dance off your counter. If you have enough electric power and storage space, the DeLonghi is the best thing going for the serious home baker.

A "must-have"
If I could own only one appliance, this would be it. Powerful, simple to use, super large capacity...this mixer has it all! I own a Kitchenaid, as well. While that has also served me well, I use my Delonghi for all the most demanding tasks. If you like to bake bread, you should own this.

Outstanding Mixer!
This is an excellent mixer. I think it has the best value/performance combination of any other mixer on the market today. I love the fact of having a continuously variable speed control instead of a limited number of speeds. This provides a higher degree of control in comparison with the KitchenAid.

It offers virtually vibration free performance even when dealing with heavy dough. This is a very powerful machine (800 watts motor! The Kitchen Aid Professional has 525 watts).

I disagree with one of the other reviewers about the noise. I think that the noise level is very comparable with the KitchenAid; maybe a little higher noise level, but not much given the fact that is has a much powerful motor.

Quality wise, this mixer has very meticulous craftsmanship. The only complain I have is that the splash guard should be of better quality. It is made of somewhat thin plastic. I expected it to be more heavy duty.

Since I have stainless steel appliances, it complements my kitchen beautifully.

I highly recommend it

Worked great, before the motor died after 10 uses
As the title states, the motor died after about 10 uses. It worked great until then. Oh, and the webpage, www.energiecorp.com, doesn't exist, so you're screwed in terms of trying to contact the company.

Best smoothie blender I have ever used!
I love this blender! Although it is not for large quanities, it makes the best smoothies or protein drinks around. And it is so easy to clean. I have used the stick blenders, the ones with the mixer in the top - everything else - and this is the best. I have had mine for well over a year now, use it several times a day and have never had any issues with it.

The Best Smoothie Blender
The blender is compact, quick and easy to use, and very easy to clean. It is perfect for a quick smoothie without fuss, and you can store what you don't use in the container with a special refrigerator top.

It comes with two large containers, a small container, 2 sport tops and a fridge top, plus a brush to clean the blade assembly.

I can't say any more. You won't regret buying it!
