I greatly enjoy using this spoon. Nice and heavy, with smooth edges, it's very well made. A pair of these are great for serving salad.

This Amco Professional 12-Inch 18/8 Stainless Steel Slotted Spoon is a very durable utensil. You will find yourself reaching for it to remove any kind of food from hot or boiling water. Its long handle, with a hole for hanging on your pot rack, helps to protect you from steam burns. This slotted spoon, like other Amco stainless steel kitchen utensils, is very utilitarian and will last you a lifetime. It is dishwasher-safe, too.

If I were a spoon, this is the serving spoon that I would choose to be. It's made of sturdy rust-proof stainless steel, so you don't have to worry about putting it in the dishwasher or bending it when trying to scoop out a really dense casserole. As far as aesthetics go, the elegent design of this spoon makes me feel comfortable using it for those everyday serving needs as well as those formal 7-course meals.

The 14-inch long Amco 18/8 Stainless Steel Slotted Spoon is an essential item in the commercial kitchen. I have three of the slotted spoons and three of the matching plain spoons hanging from my overhead pot rack so that they are always easy to find when I am cooking. The long length is great for using with tall stockpots. While these spoons are not as beautiful as the Calphalon spoons, they are durable, easy-to-clean, and an excellent value. The home chef can certainly benefit from using many commercial products.

I purchased this because of it seemed strong yet gentle on my pots and pans. I was right. We always are looking for this piece when doing any cooking. It does not bend and get flimsy when heated like many other spoons we have used while cooking. To make a long story short, I am very disappointed to find that [you] apparently no longer carrying this. My dog got a hold of our spoon and chewed it up pretty good. I was hoping to buy a couple more :o(

To have the benefits of using a tool that doesn't scratch your pots and pans ALONG with the durability of a steel handle, it's worth every penny.

Really nice, quality spoon rest with plenty of room for different sized cooking utensils. My only problem with it..and the reason I knocked off a star is..Amazon sent me a damaged one and it's not worth sending back. They really need to practice quality control..I've seen this complaint on many items and seriously wonder if they buy loads of "seconds" to make money...? It's a nice spoon rest however, and worth the money.

This is THE best spoon rest! It will accommodate any cooking utensil -- large or small. I use it every day. It goes into the dishwasher and comes out looking shinny and new. It sits on my counter next to the stove, looks great and is always ready for use. I'm going to order three more for Christmas presents. A truly great product.

This is an excellent item! First I like that it is stainless steel so that if anything gets stuck on it you can just *brillo* is off. The stainless finish makes it very arractive and so much better looking than most kitchy-looking spoon holders. Altho this is more of a utensil holder...its big. Its a great fit for wooden spoons, the heat-resistant spatulas, large spoons..etc. It will even accomodate ladles altho they pretty much rest on it, as opposed to rest in it.

This unit is sturdy and weighty. It doesnt move around or tip when you put on a utensil. I have put it in the dishwasher with no problem.

This would be an excellent item for someone setting up a kitchen, a kitchen themed gift basket, or a kitchen themed housewarming gift.

It's really an excellent item

Sturdy & strong enoughy to break down any spud. Attractive in that minimalistic brushed steel way to appeal to your sense of taste. On the flip side, 5 inches wide at its base- so this masher requires a big bowl. And last but not least, you should know that this masher is heavy enough to double as a weapon

While it's well made, it just isn't really very usefull. It's much easier, and handier, to use a knife to smash garlic than it is to use this thing. All you need to get garlic smell from your hands is any piece of stainless steel, your sink, faucet or even some other utensil would do the same job.

I think this thing is great. I have tried the silicone peelers - and unless you have a heavy cleaver and a nice chopping board, you can't use a knife to smash garlic like this thing does.

Fits the palm of your hand perfectly. You can smash down hard, or just kind of crack them open. It's a hollow steel item, so it is not nearly as heavy as it looks. I find this one much more effective than a heavy french chef's knife. If you use a heavy cleaver and heavy board now - this is the same effect. If you don't have a heavy board and cleaver - get this thing.
