I received this pan as a Christmas gift to replace a favorite pan with a broken handle --what an upgrade it has been! The first thing I cooked in this pan was an extra large batch of sauce that required me to use the old broken pan and this new pan at the same time. Wow -what a differene! With my old pan, all the the steam was rising from one spot, whereas this pan distributed heat much more evenly. Also, the non-stick surface was so slippery, that a mere twist of my wooden spoon got everything moving. It's a bit heavy, and the extra long handle takes up a lot of cabinet space -- but all and all, an amazing piece of equipment. My old beloved but broken sauce pan (I thought I could never live without it) went directly into the goodwill box. I would recommend this to anyone.

I had purchased a brownie pan (9 X 13), and you could probably drive a car over it without hurting it. The quality of this pan is more than you might expect. It is very heavy which means it will last a really long time. It is very stiff and won't flex and bend once you get the food you are trying to cook into the pan. I plan to buy all of the pieces that are available...

This product is excellent when used wiht the matching 4 1/2 quart sauce pot. It conducts heat extremely well and my chocolate chips melted much faster than with other double boilers.

As with the majority of the Calphalon cookware, this nylon measuring spoon set is great. Nice handles. It is just a set of measuring spoons though, so there is not a compelling reason to buy these unless you have a Calphalon set going.

I mainly bought this set because it coordinated with all the other Calphalon purchases I've made recently. I suppose there's nothing particularly fantastic about these, but I really like their design. Each spoon has an inset, so that it will either measure one tablespoon or one teaspoon for the largest one, depending on which fill line you use. This may be fairly universal for many measuring spoons, I'm not sure, but I know it is helpful when you don't want to dirty many spoons- you can just dirty one or two instead.
All in all, a good set at a decent price.

I bought these to go with my new Calphalon pans. These utensils are pretty good, they are a good long length and clean easily. However, on the first use of both of the spatulas (carefully following their temperature instructions), the edges began to melt/shred. Called Calphalon and they are sending me a new spatula, no questions asked...hopefully this one will be better. Impressed with their service, though.

The Calphalon 4-Piece Nylon Utensil Set is a perfect way to begin your collection of these well-designed and useful nonstick kitchen essentials. This set would also make a very nice gift, especially if it is included along with some other Calphalon items, such as the Nonstick Cookie Sheets, or a Nonstick pot, pan, wok, or griddle. This starter set includes the small and large Calphalon Nonstick spatulas in the unique shape that works so well in the Calphalon Commercial Nonstick Omelet/Frying Pans. There is also a generous-sized soup ladle and a serving spoon. I love to keep my black nylon Calphalon utensils in a tall crock jar near my stovetop for convenience. Hand-washing is recommended.

These utensils are a delight to use. Since I have some of the Calphalon nonstick pots and pans I needed safe utensils to use with them. These are the perfect companion to my nonstick cookware. The handles are thick enough to allow for a good grip and there is enough strength in the overall utensils to press down burgers or patties of sausage. Each untensil has a groove on the back of the handle that allows for resting on the edge of your pans and prevents the untensil from slipping into the pan or flipping out of the pan. There is no reason why you could not use these on regular cookware as well. Overall I rate these utensils as very good to excellent.

I received two sets of measuring cups as wedding gifts and decided to keep both. I suppose you can never have too many, especially if you enjoy baking, as I do.

This set is well-constructed and lightweight, making it ideal for manouvering in sacks of loose rice and other weighty whole foods you may store in your home. It is also good for measuring messy foods like peanut butter or butter, since its surface is relatively unsticky, making it easy to dump into your mixing bowl *and* easy to clean afterwards.

One annoyance is that the cups sometimes fall off the little hook which keeps them together -- the hook is similar to clips which attach laptop case straps, but made loosely so that you can take it apart for cleaning or ease of use. My feeling is that the clip is made a bit *too* loosely, and the cups fall away from one another a bit too frequently during use.

I feel, in general, good about this measuring cup set...it's really quite functional and nice. I gave it three stars because it's not everything I dreamed of and more -- not exactly the Platonic Ideal of the measuring cup. I prefer my other set for its look, its stronger (but still flexible) hook and its, more satisfying weight in my hand. However, this set is excellent for basic use.

You have to click on the picture of these measuring cups a few times and view the image at it's largest magnification to appreciate what makes these measuring cups unique. They're tiered so each measuring cup allows you to measure at least two different amounts.

The largest cup lets you easily measure a full cup, a 1/2 cup, and a 1/4 cup. The teirs are clearly marked on two sides to identify the volume of each tier. One side identifies the parts of a cup being measured (as you might expect), but the other side identifies the equivalents in tablespoons (16, 8, & 4). This is also a unique feature among measuring cups I've seen. For me the tablespoon equivalents are extremely valuable. If you're the kind of cook who knows that 1/3 cup equals 5 1/3 tablespoons, you may not be impressed by this feature.

The second largest cup measures 2/3 and 1/3 of a cup. There's no separate cup for a 1/3 measure, but having one cup that can measure both makes it easier to measure a multiple of 1/3 cup, a fairly frequent occurance. The 1/2 cup also measures a 1/4 cup. The 1/4 cup also measures 1/8 of a cup.

As mentioned by another reviewer, the cups are made of a very sturdy and durable plastic (nylon). They're a lot lighter than metal measuring cups, but they feel substantial. The reviewer that complained about the quality of the clip (lets you keep the cups attached to each other and hang from a hook) has a valid point if keeping the cups attached to each other is important to you. The clip works fine if you want to use it to hang these measuring cups on a hook. The clip probably opens too easily if you use the measuring cups while they're attached to each other. I'm not in the habit of doing this, so I don't consider the clip a negative feature.

In case you're wondering if the tiers make the cups difficult to stack - not to worry. They stack great - just like most non-tiered measuring cups. There is one sacrifice that owner's of these measuring cups may feel they've made for the convenience of the tiers. Normal measuring cups seem a little easier to clean by hand (we don't have a dishwasher). Each tier in these measuring cups forms a ridge inside the cup that requires a little extra attention when it comes to hand cleaning messy ingredients. This is a small price to pay, in my opinion, and a dishwasher shouldn't have any problem.

Perhaps you can tell by the length of this review that I think these measuring cups are a hoot. You may not be able to fully appreciate them from a picture. Unfortunately, I haven't seen them in stores much. I think they're ingenious and the price is very reasonable when you compare them to metal measuring cups.

This is the best set of measuring cups I have ever owned. They are actually fairly sturdy with significant weight compared to others I have used. I love the extra measurements on each cup, very handy and will often let you use one cup where you might have had to use two or three before. The black color is very attractive and durable, you can bet these will last a long, long time and always look great. Unlike other cups that quickly get beat up and battle-scarred. Very innovative design and highly recommended.

Rack was shipped quickly but arrived damaged. Not from shipping. One of the predrilled holes was completely stripped, so the unfinished (i.e., shiney!) metal shows around the hole -- about 1/4" in diameter. I "fixed" it with black paint and it is only noticeable from very close as I placed the rack fairly high on my wall. All in all the rack is great, I have 8 cast iron pieces hanging from it, there is only a very slight bend to the bar, it is very sturdy. Standard "black" drywall screws match the bar's finish perfectly. An excellent deal for $25, especially if your's comes without any manufacturer screw ups!!!

First I'll start by saying I like rack itself, but it is a pain that it doesn't come with mounting screws. Good luck trying to find screws that match the color of the rack.

This redesigned Calphalon 32-Inch Straight Wall Rack is a great accessory that adds functionality and style to a kitchen. The length is perfect for mounting by screws onto two wall studs, which are usually found 16 inches apart. I like to use this straight wall rack for hanging Calphalon stainless steel utensils, small Calphalon Commercial Hard Anodized Omelet pans, Sauté pans, Chef Pans, Saucepans, or the Butterwarmer. The stainless cool-v handle on the Commercial line matches the handles on the stainless utensils. The rack comes with 4 single hooks. I don't use any double hooks on this rack because I find it too small for that. I use 6 single hooks about 4 inches apart if I am hanging utensils.

Does not fit Calphalon Commercial Hard Anodized Collector's Edition 2 1/2-Quart Shallow Saucepan with Lid

Because I acquired much of my Calphalon cookware collection more than five years ago, I have pasta, steamer, and double boiler inserts that were made from the same hard-anodized aluminum alloy as their pots and pans. Since Calphalon now manufactures these accessories using 18/10 stainless steel, I've begun upgrading my collection. This beautiful 2-quart polished stainless steel double boiler insert is very heavy duty, has a lifetime guarantee, and it fits perfectly into my 2.5-quart Calphalon sauce pan. I place the insert in the sauce pan, which is partially filled with simmering water, to melt Callebaut chocolate for candy-making. I also use it when making Hollandaise, Béarnaise, and Béchamel sauces; and for making custard, pudding, and chocolate mousse. Calphalon also makes a 4-quart stainless steel double boiler insert that works well with their 4.5-quart sauce pan for making larger amounts of sauce or dessert recipes. I hand wash and dry this insert to keep it looking like new. I like the double handles on these Calphalon inserts much better than the one long handle on some other double boiler inserts. Someday I hope to buy a Mauviel French copper and porcelain bain-marie, but until then, I'll be very happy with this one.
