This saute pan is wonderful. I just recently purchased it and put it to the test with a new fried chicken recipe. It cooks very evenly and was easy to clean up. I am thoroughly satisfied and consider it a great investment in cookware.

Few items in our kitchen are as often used or as appreciated as this couldn't-do-without sauteuse pan. Its classic style, of course, is timeless and blends well with other accessories.

We were aware of All-Clad's enviable reputation for high quality cookware but were nonetheless surprised by the flexibility of use and wearability of this item.

At one time while cooking chicken parts the skins stuck to the bottom of the pan (My fault - I turned the heat too high). What would have been a chore to clean in any other utensil was a breeze in this pan.

There is a tradition in our family of serving a wine/beef stew at most family reunions. The recipe has been passed from one generation to the next with the caution to always prepare the dish in a cast iron pan. Imagine everyone's delight and surprise when we prepared this dish in our sauteuse and they declared that it had never tasted better.

The size of this sauteuse offers room to prepare for a few or a crowd. We are extremely pleased with this purchase.

What can I say? It's an All-Clad product. Everything we've cooked in it from stuffed pork loin to simple chicken breasts has turned out perfectly. This pan heats evenly and fits nicely in the oven. It might be nice if it had a non-stick surface; however, I've never had any problem cleaning it. This sautuese costs more than similar products, but it will last a lifetime.

I am a man of 63years, curcumstance has me on my own and learning to cook at this ripe old age. I completely emptied my cabinets in the kitchen and decided I needed new "tools". I have outfitted my kitchen based on the kind people who took the time to write an honest appraisel of the products they have purchased. If you are the kind of cook who turns the burner of the stove on high, plops the food in the pan, and scrapes it out with any thing handy, I suggest you eat out often. However if you have the desire to use and prepare your food with the best, buy this pan and you will never regret it. The fact that it is made in China does not affect the quality at all.. I only wish I could now find a woman as beautiful,functional,dependable and affordable as this pan. Meanwhile I have my all clad.
UPDATE: I FIND IT NECESSARY TO APOLOGIZE TO ANYONE WHO BOUGHT THIS PAN ON MY INTIAL RECOMMENDATION. AFTER A MONTH OF USE THIS PAN HAS BECOME A PURE NUISCANCE. FOOD STICKS AND SURE YOU CAN GET IT CLEAN BY SOAKING OR USING BAR KEEPERS FRIEND AND A DOBIE PAD BUT WHY WORK THAT HARD WHEN THE ... SET OF FABERWARE PANS PUT THIS TO SHAME. YES IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A BARGAIN ... BUT WHEN SOMETHING DOESN'T WORK IT'S NOT A VALUE AT ANY PRICE. NO I DO NOT COOK ON HIGH HEAT AND I HAND WASH EVERYTHING. I CANNOT NOT RECCOMEND YOU BUY THIS PAN UNLESS YOU JUST HAVE TO OWN AN ALL CLAD, I LEARNED MY LESSON DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

The best thing I ever did was buy this pan. Because it was a cheap lesson to learn and I returned my larger set before opening the box. This is terrible cookware. I have this pan and the wok and tried cooking on it for nearly a year but am now so frustrated that I'm giving it up. I understand how to cook on stainless but still, who needs this aggravation of burning food and not being able to clean the pans!!!! You can not cook an egg on this pan, it's a kitchen disaster! Save your money, test with this pan first!

I thought this looked like a nice pan - so I thought I would give it a try. WOW - It cooks and cleans up like a dream. I ordered another one for myself - and one for my friend.
