The Swan of My Collection
Great

What a lid!But seriously, in addition to the petite braiser, this lid also works with the All-Clad 10" fry pan. Unlike the lid designed specifically for the fry pan, this one is domed, which is better for heat circulation.
I purchased this lid for my 10" fry pan, and it fits perfectly. Turn your fry pan into a french roaster.

All-Clad is the best!!!
With All-Clad you can hardly go wrong
- Classic slope-sided, 10-inch frying pan
- Two stainless-steel layers sandwich pure aluminum core for even heating
- Layer of scratch-resistant, professional-grade nonstick bonded to interior
- Long, comfortable, stay-cool handle riveted for strength
- Lifetime warranty against defects

Not even this nonstick lasts forever
Great pan, lifetime warranty, but high cost! All Clad is probably the best cookware around. This is due to the layered metal design (and the lifetime warranty). It has stainless steel layers with aluminium in between. This works to evenly distribute the heat (even if you have a nasty electric element stove!) because aluminium is a great heat conductor. Also, this pan has the layers on the sides as well so the heat distribution is quite even.
That said, my feeling is that this pan is too expensive. It's very well made and works well, however for non stick pans, you will see very similar performace in the much cheaper Emerilware nonstick (also made by All Clad). The difference is that the Emerilware nonstick pan does not use any stainless steel. Instead, it uses anodized aluminium. Aluminium is a great heat conductor so this pan will perform just as well, for a much cheaper price. The outside finish may not look as good for as long as a stainless steel finish though so if you care about looks and don't mind spending the money, this All Clad is tops.
The Emerilware one still has the lifetime warranty and is of the exact same dimensions as the All Clad branded one. And I like the handle on the Emerilware even better than the handle on the All Clad.
With this All Clad, you are paying more for the layered stainless steel and aluminium, which require more labor to produce as well as more metel and materials.
Of course the choice is yours. If you want the best and don't mind spending the extra money, this All Clad is tops. If however you want nearly identical performance at a cheaper cost and the same lifetime warranty, the less expensive Emerilware pan would be a better match. I don't think you can go wrong either way!
All-Clad Stainless 10-Inch Nonstick Fry Pan - Love it!All Clad fry pans (and the entire All Clad cookware collection) are first class, top quality, well made, designed to last and come with a lifetime warranty...Doesn't it make more sense to buy a top quality pan that has a lifetime warranty and will be replaced by the manufacturer than a cheap pan that will eventually end up in the trash? All Clad makes more sense for your wallet and the environment and wouldn't you rather use "crème de la crème" professional quality cookware than junk? I know I would!
Highly recommended! A+++!

- Rounded, wok-like, 12-inch pan with flat bottom pan for stir-frying

Expensive, but very niceThat said, stainless has a few advantages as well and this piece in particular is a testament to the quality of All-Clad's craftwork. It is a heavy, durable piece that holds heat well (though a cast iron wok will do the same thing for 1/10 the price). It is ideal for stir fry or browning meat and it can go from the stovetop to the oven and back, so it is very versatile. You could also use it as a chicken fryer or small roaster for game hen or duck.
There are two things to be aware of with any stainless steel cookware: 1) don't use metal utensils- you will scratch the !@#$$ out of it. Use wood, teflon/rubberized, or plastic utensils. 2) Don't let it soak in water. Contrary to popular belief, stainless steel can and will rust if treated improperly; say, by scratching it with metal utensils then letting it sit in dishwater for days.
Good size for 2-4 people, Scratches easilyI bought the metal All-Clad Stainless Solid Square Spoon and used it to stir-fry with this wok. What a big mistake! It left irreversible scratches all over the wok after just one time of light use! So the lesson here is DO NOT USE METAL UTENSILS ON THIS WOK!! Use wooden ones instead. I called All-Clad and they said their limited warranty does not cover these kinds of scratches, only manufacture defects. Be warned!
This wok has performed very well otherwise. Cleans up easily as long as you soak it in water after use if you don't have time to clean right away.
This is the pan to have...The other great purchase I made was the All-Clad Non-stick grill pan--it is wonderful!
