These pots and pans will give you a new outlook on cooking and the subsequent cleanup. Easy, easy, easy. The cookware is heavy enough to do everything from omelets to fudge, and it cleans up with minimal effort. The lids are excellent also. This was a 'splurge' for me, yet it represents one of the smartest buying drecisions I've made.

These are some of the best pans you could own. First, there is no higher quality, heavy duty pan out there. Second, they is surprisingly cheap for such high quality. Third, I have never tackled a project with these pans that has not come out a success. It is truly professional grade for the home. Even if you are not a professional chef or a food enthusiast, these pans make building a great dish easy. You don't have to worry about those non-stick coatings that peel off but you also don't have to worry about your food sticking to the surface. Ignore the fact that it is more expensive than K-Mart Brand Pan--It is worth the extra cost! Food always cooks evenly and always seems to do so effortlessly. It is the perfect size for a family of four or five and can be used for just about any situation when you don't have the proper pan (although you should really go and check out all of Calphalon's other pans too).

I'm not sure whether this is the exact set I own, but mine has the same pieces. I bought my set when I moved into my first apartment, and I don't plan on ever buying another set of pans. The non-stick surface is amazing (yes, I can brown perfect pancakes without oil and I never have to *scrub* them, even with burned on food). Its definitely worth it to have the clear glass lids rather than opaque. Also, before you buy, check the handles: Calphalon seems to have redesigned their handles so they are much skinnier (mine are nice and fat, so I can easily pour a heavy pan one-handed without straining my wrists. My parents have a set with skinny handles, and it is much harder to hold them one-handed.) I've put mine in the dishwasher a few times, and it doesn't seem to do them any harm, but they tend to dry spotty. I would rather baby them and hand wash than have them looking dingy. All in all, a terrific product whether you're looking for one pot or a whole set!

It's the best pan I have ever owned. I just love it! I use it daily. Nothing sticks or burns in it.From omelettes to vegetables everything slides off. Cleaning is a breeze.

Every thing the publicity says about this set is true. Beatiful handles, cooks wonderfully.

My only criticism is that the enclosed information is inadequate. For example, we are not told whether we need to use plastic tools with the set.

I was prepared to pay the big bucks for the Calpalon Commercial set or the Emeril set from All-Clad. My wife objected to the weight of them however. So we bought the much cheaper and lighter Essentials set. Perfect. I have seen many versions of this set,some with different handles, some with different lids. We have had the set with the glass lids for a year now and have no complaints whatsoever. Watch the quality control: we had a bent lid rim, but it was promptly replaced by the manufacturer. Unless you are a muscular gourmet cook, this is the perfect set.

Calphalon makes great products, but this set is truly a bargain, particularly for couples who don't cook for a bunch of people at once. The pots and pans are very heavy duty and stay balanced on the burners. The nonstick surface is very easy to clean and maintain. Calphalon is always worth the investment, and this is a great starter set.

This set may not be the quality of the commercial or professional Calphalon series, but it's own quality far surpasses any other set in it's own price range. They not only cook well, they look very good doing it. If you're into aesthetics as much as functionality, I would highly recommend this set!

I bought this for a sample of Simply Calphalon with some trepidation, but at the price I figured "what the heck". I'm really pleased with this pan. Great size for polenta or risotto, the deep straight sides make it difficult to splash the contents on the stove, but I managed anyway. The best thing is the clean up, a swish of the sponge and it's ready to use again! I'd have given it 5 stars except for the lid which gets really hot. Not a biggie, since I don't usually cook things covered anyway. Also, made in China not Toledo like my other Calphalon stuff. All in all a great saucepan worth every penny. Now if Elsie will just stop screaming...if you haven't read Edward Gorey's "The Curious Sofa" get a copy and read it now. (Also in the "Amphigorey" anthology.)

I bought this pot because I just wanted something this size for a good price. What I did not expect was the quality when I recieved it. I never want another pot without a nonstick surface. The handle stays cool to the touch and nothing sticks to this surface! Clean up is a breeze.

I originally had purchased an 8 peice Simply Calphalon set from Foleys here in Texas when they were on sale. I decided to check out Amazon.com after reading their ad in the paper. Thank goodness I did. I couldn't find this product for less than 50 buck here in Texas but got it dirt cheap here. What is great is that this is not a case of you get what you pay for. I got way more IMO. As for this and other Simply Calphalon products, I highly recommend them. Their only flaw is that the pot lid tends to get a bit hot after cooking for a while. However head distribution over the pot is very even, the no stick surface is perfect and the handles are riveted on with large sturdy rivets. These pans were made for cooking and that's what this cajun is gonna do.

When I first received this roasting pan I was struck at how thin it really was. Anyone who's used to the heft and solidity of Calphalon, or even the moderate substance of Simply Calphalon pots and pans, will see a big contrast here. To put it in context, if you imagine what a standard half sheet pan looks and feels like, this is about half as thick.

Although I was surprised, I wasn't really that concerned. After all, thickness isn't the number one concern with a piece that's meant to spend most of it's time in the oven; and for the price I paid I wasn't expecting restaurant quality. However, when I used it in the oven it warped terribly. Although I didn't measure it, I would say that the corner bent up a good inch off the cutting board I placed it on after taking it out of the oven. However, since the pan is really very thin, I was able to bend it back into reasonable shape with very little effort, although I doubt that it will stay in this position.

The next time I buy a roasting pan I'll make sure it's at least 4mm thick.

This was my first venture into the "Simply Calphalon" line and I have been quite pleased with the pan. While it is not as thick as the rest of my commercial Calphalon bakeware, it has been thick enough to ensure even baking and good results. The lack of thickness and heavy weight also has a nice side benefit of making it easier to handle. The larger commercial pans weigh a ton, and especially when you have a large roast or a turkey, become very difficult to handle. While not light as a feather, there is a noticeable difference that makes the stress on your wrists a lot less.

The nonstick finish is nice and has put up with a lot of abuse. (I keep catching my husband using improper utensils in it and it still hasn't a single scratch or scuff.) While browning is a bit trickier in the oven with a non-stick pan, the easy clean up more than makes up for a little bit lighter gravy or sauce. The outside of the pan is harder to clean and there are a few stubborn greasy stains that I have not been able to remove.

I love the handles and they are a vast improvement over all of the other roasting pans I have and are very user friendly. The pan is very well-balanced and easy to lift by the handles.

The only thing I wish the pan came with is a v-shaped roasting rack instead of or in place of the flat rack. My medium v-shaped rack does fit into the pan, but it is a very tight fit and is a real pain to remove from the pan.

We have used this pan at least 50 times in our test kitchen at a variety of temperatures and have never had a problem with buckling or warping.

Mine arrived as a birthday present from my sister, and I must say it's gotten a lot of use since then. Everyone needs a large roasting pan, whether for cooking fowl, making a pot roast, roasting vegetables or whatever, and this one does the job at a very attractive price. It doesn't have the feeling of solidity of the heavy-duty Calphalon roaster, but it only costs a quarter as much, and unless you're using it in a restaurant you probably won't notice any difference. A good value in one of the most useful pieces of cookware you can own.

The handle on this griddle is too long, actually caused the griddle to lift off the heating element on our stove - so the heating is uneven. Argh!

I've generally been pleased with Calphalon, but this design needs some tweaking.

Performs fabulously despite my deficiencies as a chef. Wish I had bought this years ago.

Calphalon is quality cookware. This 12 inch round griddle is proof of the pudding! I used a small amount of butter when pre-heating the griddle to make steak sandwiches. The onions and mushrooms were browned to perfection. I then added the steak and french bread (are you getting hungry?). The griddle is an excellent size - enough room to cook two large sandwiches. Clean-up was a snap, just a little soapy water and NO elbow grease. I highly recommend this product - it works wonderful on my glass top cooktop, where other products do not heat evenly. An incredible value at only $[money].
