A Poor Value at Any PriceAlthough I was surprised, I wasn't really that concerned. After all, thickness isn't the number one concern with a piece that's meant to spend most of it's time in the oven; and for the price I paid I wasn't expecting restaurant quality. However, when I used it in the oven it warped terribly. Although I didn't measure it, I would say that the corner bent up a good inch off the cutting board I placed it on after taking it out of the oven. However, since the pan is really very thin, I was able to bend it back into reasonable shape with very little effort, although I doubt that it will stay in this position.
The next time I buy a roasting pan I'll make sure it's at least 4mm thick.
Great Value for the PriceThe nonstick finish is nice and has put up with a lot of abuse. (I keep catching my husband using improper utensils in it and it still hasn't a single scratch or scuff.) While browning is a bit trickier in the oven with a non-stick pan, the easy clean up more than makes up for a little bit lighter gravy or sauce. The outside of the pan is harder to clean and there are a few stubborn greasy stains that I have not been able to remove.
I love the handles and they are a vast improvement over all of the other roasting pans I have and are very user friendly. The pan is very well-balanced and easy to lift by the handles.
The only thing I wish the pan came with is a v-shaped roasting rack instead of or in place of the flat rack. My medium v-shaped rack does fit into the pan, but it is a very tight fit and is a real pain to remove from the pan.
We have used this pan at least 50 times in our test kitchen at a variety of temperatures and have never had a problem with buckling or warping.
