I sold a Weber 2000 to get the Summit Gold D. This thing is awesome, and "big". Quality is great. There are plenty of stainless grills out there with lots of bells and whistles, but I don't think there is one that can match the Weber Summit Gold D and Weber's after sales support.

Just received grill this week. Assembly took about 1 1/2 hours. Quality of fit and finish and packaging was outstanding. Be careful of the side burner igniter wire taped to the side. We accidentally triggered the igniter when lifting the grill and shocked my arm. Assembly only had one hitch, a pin to hold the lid needed its hole reamed out with a drill, other than that flawless. Burners fired right up and within minutes grill was registering 550 F. Cooked flawless meal. Extra room is great, never felt like a crowded surface. Does anybody really need this fancy of a grill? Not many, but it is a joy to use and after using it a lesser grill would be too much compromise. Also, felt good about Weber brand, widely available parts, service if ever needed.

We really love the Weber Chill and have not had any guest to our home who hasn't asked where we got it and even how much it cost! We ordered the silver and would recommend to anyone ordering to get the two wire baskets (extra cost) to go with it. This allows you to stack many 12 oz. cans of soft drinks/beer, etc. Also would recommend keeping cooler out of harsh sunlight and turning up when stocked completely full. We entertain outdoors all summer and have used the cooler every day. Highly recommended!

Keeps the beer cold! I could stop there but I'll continue! Had party 2 weeks ago and moved the chill out on the patio so people wouldn't have to be going in and out the door every 5 minutes. Worked out great!

I keep all my can pop (soda) and beer in it so I have more room in my fridge. Everyone who has seen the chill loves it and 2 of them have even bought one for their home.

This thing rocks!! It comes packaged nicely and secure and sets up in no time. It cools down fast and is the must have patio item for your summer. Baskets are a must get. I will be chillin and grllin a lot with this badboy come summertime!!! Go load it up with your favorite brewskis!!!

Tried the chicken and it was great. I have used the beer can but this was a lot easier. I also cooked a 7 1/2 lb Turkey breast used a cajun salt pepper rub(use only the base unit fits perfect) with the beer and some spice rub in the well). It took 2 1/2 hours on med high. Well worth the wait.

Well-designed unit, with typical high-quality Weber materials. Simple to use and produces a moist, tasty chicken. Clean-up is easy, although the unit is not diswasher safe. A 3.5-4.0 pound bird takes about 50 minutes at medium heat on a Weber gas grill. Cook your chickens this way and you'll never turn on the oven again to roast a bird!

If you have the Weber Q, this is the must have accessory. It turns your portable grill into a standard grill. Not only is it a stand, it also folds up to fit nicely for travel and becomes a rolling cart so you don't have to carry the grill. I can't image not having it. It is well constucted, and if taken care of will last for many years.

Thanks again to Weber-Stephens for making an excellenct product. This is my third Weber grill, but I still have the first. These products last a lifetime. This is the king of charcoal grills (which I think are the only kind to have). The best features for me are the charcoal storage area and the gas ingnition system, no more messing with smelly lighter fluids. Thanks, Weber-Stephens, now I can't wait for my wife to say "Honey, you can light the grill."

I have had my Performer for going on 6 years and I cook everything on the grill from steaks to homemade pizza. Like any weber dome grill, you can control the heat and cooking temp by the amount of air you let get to the fire. It takes a little while to figure out what temp cooks what foods best. My father has one of the stainless gas webers and I like my charcoal better. After reading some of the other reviews, that claim this grill doesn't get hot enough and so on. There is a solution, Get rid of the Kingsford fake charcoal brickets and start using real wood charcoal like Cowboy Charcoal. Using the real wood charcoal, I can get my grill surface 1500 degrees plus. You get plenty of grill marks at this temp.! The other nice thing about real wood charcoal and this grill is that you can reuse the charcoal. When you are finished cooking, shut off all of the air to the grill and it will go out preserving the charcoal for the next day. It may not have enough left to cook on; however, it is a good base for lighting the new charcoal that you will add before cooking. Also, this grill works best when you use the hot side/ cool side method. In otherwords keep all of your charcoal to one side of the grill and use the hot flame for searing and then finish it off on the cool side. With the dome shape, the heat circulates through the whole grill making this much more effective than it would be with a traditional 2,3, or 4 burner gas grill. For me, grilling is not a seasonal thing, I've cooked with my performer in the snow more than once. When and if this one ever wears out, I will buy another. Happy grilling,

We gave My Father this Grill for Fathers Day this year, to replace a Weber One-Touch Grill (22 1/2") that has served us well for many years, but is on its last leggs. This grill is very good and easy to use and light and with its charcoal storage bin we dont have to worry about charcoal getting weat from the rain. With its gas ignition system we don't have to use lighter fluid any more or put up with house brand charcoal that is hard to start and slow to get going anymore. The only item that could be added with this grill is scoop for the charcoal, the char baskets that come with it are better than the divders that the one-touch kettles come with. The Stainless steel work table that is part of this grill is a very handy feature along with the hangers for your grill tools. All in all a very Excelent Grill, and being a Weber Product I expect to get many years out this grill espcialy with the cover I plan to buy for it.

This record holder makes a great gift during christmas to those not so special relatives you can never buy anything for. It holds up to 15 old vinyl records, including the cover. I gave my uncle one of these along with 22 scratched Bing Crosby records and he really loved it.

If you store your Weber Q outside, then you must get the vinyl cover. The material is well made so the cover will never rip. Fits perfect on the Weber Q. I Love it.

I am a little dissapointed with some of the parts that come with this grill. The nuts that hold the shelf to the frame are made of stamped sheet metal. They are hollow inside. If you use Vicegrips or channel lock pliers as I did, then you will probably crush the nut, making it impossible to fit on the bolt. Since real nuts only cost a few pennies each, I don't see why they can't ship the grill with real ones.

Weber grills have stood the test of time as the best outdoor grills ever made. These grills can cook ANYTHING, but more imprortantly, cooks everything to delicious perfection. However, the One-touch platinum series ups the ante even further! Not only does it have the same craftsmanship and attention to quality that has been a Weber trademark for years, the ammenities of this grill are simply amazing! First of all, its an incredibly sturdy and durable grill, it has a really nice heavy plastic table for setting anything on (I mean this little table thing is really nice and most of all durable). It also has a lid holder located on the side (no more having to find a place to set a red hot grill lid!), it has a utensil holder for hanging grill utensils, a metal grate underneath for storing grilling stuff, metal charcoal baskets for indirect cooking (comes with the grill as a package deal) and the nicest feature is the ash catcher underneath, making removing ash totally painless and best of all clean (so no more ashes all over the deck ;) Having used (and LOVED) a One touch silver series grill since I was old enough to peer over the top of the kettle, the platinum series is really an incredible grill, I cant say enough about it. If you want the BEST in charcoal grills get the one touch platinum!

If you want people to think you are a grill master then this is it! The grill is easy to assemble, maybe 1/2 hour (my 7 yr old helped). Ignore the reviews that state otherwise. Most things these days come unassembled. The user guide is in 15 different languages as usual these days, but clear enough.

The grill looks good, and works better. The wheels are durable plastic and so is the table. The rest is aluminum and is quite strong. The storage rack holds a 10lb bag of charcoal, the chimney lighter, a bag of wood chips and a few other odds and ends. The hooks in front are nice for the utensils.

The last Weber I had wasn't this nice, so I am grateful for the extra attention that was put into this grill such as the vent on the lid has a handle that doesn't get too hot and the handles at the bottom for the bottom vents, plus the workspace and bottom rack for storage.

If you like to charcoal grill or want to get back to it, this is the grill to start with. You will be glad you did.

Based upon the reviews here, there is no way I am going to buy this light handle.

The idea of having a light to grill by is a good one. The grill-0ut light is heavy when you get the six required D-cell batteries in. The handle looks and feels cheap! The light pattern on my food looks like two giant onion rings (very distracting). This is definitely not up to Weber standards!

As a Weber Gas Grill Loyalist I was very excited about this new cooking light and found that it worked well during the first month of use in December 2002. Then at the beginning of February 2003 both lights have begun to melt and the handle is very hot to the touch. I contacted Weber's customer service and they replaced it at no charge. I replaced the old handle and the new handle is just as hot. Weber recommended using a heat protective glove when grabbing the handle. What kind of design improvement is that? Weber usually has great/reliable products; not this one.

While the mitt is beautiful and the price is right, it is narrow. Most mitts flare towards the opening, this one does not. I have larger forearms and it won't fit all the way up. My husband has average sized arms and it won't go around his upper forearm either. Since they are so long they go almost to your elbow.
