Very pleased with these knives, they are very sharp. Perfect for those steaks coming off the grill!

I have had these knives for 24 years (wedding gift), we had six but over the years have lost them along the way. I still reach for this knife first, sadly we are down to only one but will be buying more soon. I love this knife because it is NOT serrated. Never had to have them sharpened either. If you are considering buying them DO IT. You won't regret it.

First I was very surprised, when I first time have seen the steak knives in a three star michelin restaurant in Alsace in France. They have no serration. They were extremely sharp. So I asked the chef, Mr. Westermann, why they are like this. And he explainded. They have no serration, so you can easy resharpen them by yourself. This way you always have the sharpest steak knife. If you resharpen them ;-)
I do it very easy frequently with a stone.

This was my first set of "nice" knives. I am SO disappointed ! Right away they began to rust and are continuing to do so, more and more. Even my cheap knives from Target don't rust. The positive comment I have about them is their sharpness is awesome. I wish I had investigated the quality before I bought these. I just assumed any Chicago Cutlery product would be great since the name is supposed to mean quality. Wish I had saved for something of better quality ....

We got these knives as a gift about 6 months ago. They look nice and they are sharp and do cut well. The knives rust very easily though, cheap steel I guess. They are also not well balanced in my hand. The handles are hollow not solid so the blade is heavier than the handle. I don't think these will last very long.

I would not have purchased these on my own, I would have bought better knives that would last me longer. For the price they are fine but you can do much better if you spend more. I would rather have 3-4 really good knives than a bunch of OK knives.

We bought these knives with a gift certificate we received for our wedding. They're terrific! The blades stay nice and sharp, and they're easy to keep clean since the blades and handles are one continuous piece of metal. They fit nicely in both my and my husband's hands, and the weight is just right.

I highly recommend these knives for anyone looking for a good set at a medium price.

I bought this item and it was broken. Getting a new one was a pain in the rear. Nobody knew how I could get this item if the current store did not have this item. buying from Taget was a real lousy experience. I usually shop at Walmart and unless I get a response from the email I set earlier I will start doing all my shopping at Walmart. Better service when returns/exchanges are done is greatly in need of improvement. A dissatisfied customer. James Snow

I just wrote a review but it was for a different Chicago Cutlery knife set and I mistakenly reviewed this one.

When we bought our summer cabin some six years ago we also invested in what we considered to be economical linens, kitchen ware, etc., to be left at the cabin so it wasn't a major move at the beginning and end of each season.

We chose a set of four steak knives by Chicago Cutlery made by World Kitchens. These knives have outlasted most of the other original purchases for our kitchen and dining. We couldn't be more pleased with the price we paid or the performance of the knives.

It's nice that Chicago Cutlery offers a lifetime warranty for the life of their products, but we certainly don't need it!

I have been eating my way to slimness. This involves cutting a LOT of fruit and vegtables. These walnut knives with the SpyderCo tri-angle sharpener makes these knives the sharpest I have EVER used.

I recently purchased a 10 pc set of Chicago Cutlery, Insignia set. Less than a week later the printing on the knives started disappearing. Now, less than a month later the knives are seeping with rust. There are fine pits and cracks that seep rust and I am very upset as I cannot return, exchange or get a refund for them.

For the price, these are fantastic knives. I've had no problems with them at all - and they're quite sharp. Best not to put in the dishwasher. They will rust if water stands on them, and the handles don't respond well to the dishwasher. The blades are thick and sturdy, unlike many steak knives in this price range. Treat them right and they will last! I'd buy them again.

Good knives should NEVER be put through the dishwasher. Also, good knives should be DRIED immediately. Since good knives are made out of STEEL, they can rust if abused.
