This is the latest addition to my 16 piece collection of All-Clad LTD saucepans, sautepans, frypans, stockpots, and a wok. I started off with a set of All-Clad LTD Non-Stick about 6 years ago and am still using the same set daily! Prior to that, I used non-stick pots and pans, even Circulon, that would only last me a year at the most. I value the quality and workmanship of All-Clad. Although I had a LTD 2 qt. non-stick sauce pan that started chipping on the bottom, it was immediately replaced free of charge with a single phone call to All-Clad. I was quite impressed with their level of customer service. As for the 14" frypan, I use it primarily to cook fish fillets, T-bones, and sometimes even pancakes. The even heat dissipation over the entire surface makes cooking large quantities much easier. It can be a little weighty when fully loaded but doesn't really require that much effort. Clean-up is simple with a wet sponge and some Soft Scrub on the cool pan. Always let the cookware cool before washing. Subjecting cookware, especially non-stick, to rapid decreases in temperature can shorten its life. With proper care, All Clad will last a very long time.

I have basically this same pan except without the smaller grab handle. The 14" pan is quite large and when full of food it can also be heavy so i'm sure that handle will come in handy. If your looking for a 14" fry pan, i'm sure you know what your getting into anyhow. Before Emerilware came out (which i think is made by all-clad anyway) Emeril used to use the All-clad pans on his show. I bought mine about 4 years ago and I still have it today, the only difference is the bang marks i have on it from beating food with a large metal spatula. See I'm real hard on cookware and cheap department store pans last about 2 weeks to a month before i've broken the handle off or ruined the surface. The thing that i thought was great was Emeril grabbed his 14" All-clad fry pan and proceeded to smash a large steak with it on the table in efforts to tenderize it. After seeing that I was not only proud of my pan, i had to try it as well and guess what? It works like a charm!

If you are hard on cookware like me, I highly recommend All-clad. Plus they come with a lifetime warranty so even if you do manage to break the thing they'll take care of you!

This pan is the one I reach for when "grilling" fish. It adds a great flavor that's a close second to the Le Creuset grill pans. The Le Creuset pans yield a slightly better flavor, but the skin of the fish always sticks to the pan. If you eat a lot of fish and want to buy only one grill pan, then All Clad is the one. If you plan to grill mostly other meats and vegetables, then the Le Creuset may be a better option. Or better yet, get both of these great pans!

I've been using grill pans for years and have bought many brands. This is the best one, hands-down. I gave away all five of the others I owned after the first time I used this pan. I love All Clad cookware in general and this is my first non-stick. The results are so superior to any other grill pan I recommend it to everyone. If you want healthy and perfectly prepared grilled food, whether it's fish, meat or vegetables, without a drop of added fat, this pan is for you. Buy it.

I could not believe that I found this pan at this price. I was further astounded when I received it and started cooking on it. It is absolutely fabulous. NY Strip streak comes out truly delicious when you simply sprinkle some salt and cracked pepper on it and then throw it on the grill pan. Also works great for bacon. Also works great for burgers. Also works great for...anything you could think of. For cleaning, I recommend immediately filling it with water after taking the food out, enough to cover all the bottom, and then let it sit til after dinner and you start doing the dishes. If you do this, then I recommend an OXO brush (ASIN B0000CFQOB) with nylon bristles. Gently brush between the grooves to loosen the remaining material and then use a sponge. I recommend the nylon brush because it is hard to get a sponge to get every bit of remaining material along the grooves. But overall this is incredibly easy to clean and even easier to cook on. I still cannot believe I paid only fifty for this item.

This is certainly a nicely made stockpot, but it's not clear how it cooks things any better than, say, a solid stainless steel pot that cost half as much would--or 1/7 as much for that matter (cf. the 12-qt. stockpot by Farberware). The outer 'layer' of the LTD line seems much less like a layer than like a coating; it may make the stockpot less prone to scratches, but it does not make impervious to them as mine can attest. One concern with a large stockpot is that it will not transfer heat well enough to get the liquid to boil when it is near-full; this product will achieve boiling, but not appreciably better than other, far cheaper stockpots I've used.

Unlike the reviewer below, I think this is an excellent pot - all you need to do is pick it up and compare it to the cheaper versions. Much more sturdy and hefty!!

There are many reasons why you might consider paying top dollar for an All-Clad LTD vs. a cheaper brand - first, the construction is much more solid, and the All-Clads have much more even heating across the surface of the pot. Yes, maybe the lightweight pots can boil water almost as quickly, but I typically make a roux in the stockpot first, and it can easily burn in a cheap pot due to uneven heating. Also, All-Clad pot retains heat much better, important for simmering without overcooking!

Finally, durability of the pot is a major factor. If you are an avid cook, I guarantee you will still be using your All-Clad pot 35 years from now. On the other hand, I've never had a Farberware last more than 2 or 3 years - they get coated with crap, and no longer heat quickly or evenly, and in general get too dinged up to use. If you are just a casual cook or maybe a single guy, don't spend your money on a pot of this quality. But if you are starting a household, maybe just got married, it is well worth the extra money now (save you from buying replacement cheap pots over the rest of your life!).
