This 2 quart saucier is one of my favorite All Clad pans. This is actually the first All Clad pan I bought and I was so happy with it that I now have almost the whole line of All Clad cookware. I love this size for making rice pilaf; it is wider and has lower sides than a saucepan, which I prefer for simmering rice. It is also a great size for one or two boil in the bag veggies or simmering soup for one or two. It is made very well, is easy to clean, heats evenly and is designed to last. All Clad cookware is one of the most expensive lines around and it is worth every penny, it really is lifetime cookware (with a lifetime warranty to prove it). This saucier is a definite must have, it is a very versatile size and is a nice pan to start with. Very, very highly recommended! A+++!

Also, if you should get something stuck to the stainless steel use a product called "Bar Keepers Friend" to clean it. Most supermarkets have it and Kitchen Etc. and Bed, Bath and Beyond carry it too. The container (like a Comet can) is gold with blue and white writing. All Clad recommends it for cleaning stainless steel and it works like a dream and is very inexpensive.

The curved sides of this pan make it the perfect saucier, and when you're constantly whisking a sauce (such as a bechamel) you couldn't ask for anything better. The All-Clad reputation says it all - top of the line.

While I never quite cook in this, I do reheat sauces in this pot all the time and never quite have to worry about it burning because of the even heat you get with All-Clad. It also works well in a pinch when I need to use my 2-qt. sauce pan for something else or the high sides would be awkward.

One of my favorite pans that gets a lot of use. For cooking small amounts, read for one or two people with a bit of leftover this is a great pan. A little barkeeper's friend and this pan cleans nicely. Sautes chicken nicely even at lower heat settings. Deep enough to add a little stock to make a small amount of soup. If I had a large family I would opt for a larger size.

May and June are the most popular months for weddings and wedding showers, so I am always on the lookout for beautiful gift recommendations. This All-Clad 2-Quart Saute for Two gift set is great! Not only do you get a good price but also you get a wonderful stainless pan, stainless serving spoon, and a red quilted oven mitt. The two-handled design of the pan makes it perfect for cooking and serving all-in-one. I would use it for coq au vin, beef stroganoff, chicken paprikash, or any other favorite dish that has a sauce because the straight sides of this pan make a reduction so easy to do. Highly recommended buy!

This is another of the workhorse pans in my kitchen. The AllClad Stainless 2qt pot is marvelous for cooking sauces that will bubble or foam; for sauces involving fruits that may need to boil. The height allows for ingredients to grow, and the small diameter means you are not waiting for items to heat up. The pot heats quickly and evenly.

Try it for cranberry sauce at the holidays, or any small sauces involving milk or cheese. Remember that the pan does not have a great surface area, so timing and delicacy in preparations is key. Leaving the pot unattended on a high heat is not a smart idea. Keeping the pot with a good warmth, slowly working up the heat of your sauce or fruit is one of the best ways to use it.

The only downside of this pot is that yes, it is difficult to pour from, and the small surface area of the pot (=smaller open area) means that ladles are often too unwieldy for it. So be prepared beforehand to know how you're going to get your sauce out of the pot without making much of a mess.

All-Clad makes quality cookware with professional materials and thoughtful design. The two-quart saucepan is specialized yet versatile (see the Amazon guide which suggests making rice, potatoes, hot chocolate, etc.). The materials and weight ensure even heat distribution, non-scorching and relatively easy clean-up, and a cool handle. I am intrigued by the review of the more economical "Sur La Table' brand, but I would recommend calling them to find out the weight of the pan and other specifics to see if the two brands are really comparable.

The All Clad 2 Quart Sauce pan in great....a perfect balance of stainless steel & aluminum. However, the downside to All-Clad is the price. There is an alternative. Go to www.surlatable.com and look at there branded cookware. We have the 1, 2 and 3 quart sauce pans and they are identical to All-Clad, but with more style and at 1/2 the price. The 2 quart sauce pan is $75, 3 quart is $85. They are the same 18/10 polished stainless steel inside and out with a solid aluminum core.

I investigated all the mixing bowls at local stores and on-line, and the All Clad ones are the best. 1.) Many other bowls roll the top lip over to increase strength. Unfortunately (as with my old bowls), water and other grime collects or dribbles in the rolled lip. All Clad bolws have an edge that is flat and doesn't do this. They use thicker material for strength. 2.) The All Clad bowls have a handle attached. This is so much better for beating, whisking, etc., since you get a good grip on the bowl. 3.) The All Clad bowls are highly polished which makes them easier to clean, and you could even serve in them since they look nice. 4.) The All Clad bowls have a nice shape. Others are too shallow so stuff slops out when mixing or are too conical not allowing you to mix. These bowls are nicely shaped like a half-circle.

So why only only 4 stars? Look at the price. For the price of one All Clad bowl, you can buy a whole set (or two) of other brands. I plan on giving these to my grandchildren.

The 3Qt is All Clad's middle size and is good for all sorts of mixing or holding ingredients. I use it as a personal salad bowl (I eat big salads). Finally, it doesn't look like they do, but they do stack/nest just like other bowls despite the handles.

These are the best mixing bowls I have every used! I use at least one or two every day. They have a nice handle so you can get a good grip on it. The polished stainless steel is so beautiful you could definitely use them to serve as well. I find I use the 1.5 quart for mixing sauces or beating eggs and the 3 & 5 quart sizes for cake mixes and fillings. I also have the 7 quart that is a must have for making meatballs. They do not have any rubber on the bottom and I prefer them this way. I think the rubber bottoms are bacteria collectors and shorten the lifetime of the bowl. I have an oxo rubber bottom mixing bowl that I never use, I actually store my hand mixer and attachments in it.
The bases of the All Clad mixing bowls are a good size and there is no danger that anything could tip over, that is unless you tip it over yourself! They are also very, very easy to clean and they nest together perfectly to save space. I am also planning to add the 1-quart size to my collection soon. Top quality and excellent design! Once you use these bowls you will not want to use any others! If you are considering this bowl, check out the 3-bowl set, it is a great value! Highly recommended!

The quality of the colander is excellent. However, the holes in the colander are too large. When draining noodles, they tend to come out the holes.

This is an excellent colander, I love it. All my cookware is All Clad Stainless Steel so I decided to buy this colander and have not been disappointed. Although this is the smaller of the two sizes All Clad makes it is very roomy. This colander can drain a pound of pasta (even a pound of lasagna) without any problems. It is also great for rinsing salad, the solid side handles make it very easy to manage. It is made very well and is very sturdy. The cleanup is also very easy. Highly recommended!

THIS IS A TERRIFIC ITEM FOR THE KITCHEN AND IT LOOKS GOOD TOO! IT IS HIGH END QUALITY,AND DOES THE JOB THAT IS ALL I CAN ASK OF ANY THING I USE IN THE KITCHEN,I LIKE IT SO MUCH I WANT TO GET THE 5 QUART NEXT.ENJOY

This is a nice but pricey teakettle. It has one serious design flaw: The spout is spotwelded to the body, and tends to leak. The company is very good about replacements, and I have replaced two of them. The third is now in hand and we will see what happens.

Mr. Brack indicated this kettle has an aluminum core bottom as other All-Clad products do. It does not, but instead is made from rather thin stainless steel. It makes one wonder if Mr. Brack even reviewed this item at all? In light of this, the kettle is very handsome and is adequate for its purpose.

I am happy to say that I am the proud owner of this tea kettle. I have not experienced any of the problems with respect to the lid, handle or whistling mechanism. My tea kettle whistles every time. The handle stays cool due to the black underside. The lid is easy to open and close and stays put during the boiling process. You cannot go wrong buying this tea kettle. I leave mine out all the time!!!
