A new favorite - No longer stocked?
I purchased this because of it seemed strong yet gentle on my pots and pans. I was right. We always are looking for this piece when doing any cooking. It does not bend and get flimsy when heated like many other spoons we have used while cooking. To make a long story short, I am very disappointed to find that [you] apparently no longer carrying this. My dog got a hold of our spoon and chewed it up pretty good. I was hoping to buy a couple more :o(

Best of both worlds.
To have the benefits of using a tool that doesn't scratch your pots and pans ALONG with the durability of a steel handle, it's worth every penny.

Looking to fill an unneeded niche
While it's well made, it just isn't really very usefull. It's much easier, and handier, to use a knife to smash garlic than it is to use this thing. All you need to get garlic smell from your hands is any piece of stainless steel, your sink, faucet or even some other utensil would do the same job.

two thumbs up!
I think this thing is great. I have tried the silicone peelers - and unless you have a heavy cleaver and a nice chopping board, you can't use a knife to smash garlic like this thing does.

Fits the palm of your hand perfectly. You can smash down hard, or just kind of crack them open. It's a hollow steel item, so it is not nearly as heavy as it looks. I find this one much more effective than a heavy french chef's knife. If you use a heavy cleaver and heavy board now - this is the same effect. If you don't have a heavy board and cleaver - get this thing.

it's fun.

Amco Stainless Steel 2-Tablespoon Coffee Scoop/Tamper

Flat bottom isn't a good thing for a coffee messure
Coffee grinds getting stuck in the edge, especially with oily coffees like west coast style dark roasts (full city) and fine grinds used with espresso and Turkish. You can tap them out typically, but over time tapping is going to marr your spoon and more importantly marr the edge of your espresso machine's portafilter. Espresso machines rely on a good seal between the edge of the portafilter and the machine, or they can spray hot water dangerously. Don't tap metal spoons out against the top of metel portafilters. But if you don't tap out anything stuck, your messurement will be off (critical for espresso). Problem.

Did I mention I'm picky about my coffee? :-)

The idea of tamping espresso with a flat bottom spoon would seem a bit of an "after-feature". That is, it's doubtful it was intended in the design, more likely a "hey, you could probably do this too with it", as anyone that's into espresso isn't going to consider tamping coffee (possibly hard) by pushing their hand against the top thin edge of a spoon. Seriously, anyone actually making espresso on a regular basis is going to have a proper tamp. (side note: I actually prefer garlic smashers for tamping such as ASIN: B00004RFK2 (I have one just like that Amco, but in wood, otherwise I'd probably get the Amco...hmm, maybe I'll get the Amco anyway and actually use it for garlic...)).

The Amco coffee spoon is more the right idea (ASIN: B00004RFJZ). Although I'd wonder if the deep style of the Amco wouldn't have its own pros and cons. My personal preference is for very long handled, round, but shallow coffee spoons. The shallow ones are easier to wipe clean with my coffee towel and in the off chance there is any moisture on the spoon they don't stick as much. -Fine grind dark coffee can stick like glue to deep cup designs.

Shoddy at Best
This cheese slicer seemed appealing, considering that you have the ability to slice at three widths. However, after using the slicer for less than two weeks, on of the wires broke the plastic cap at the top, rendering it useless. I would highly recommend not purchasing this slicer and opting for one without cheap plastic parts.

Amco Stainless Steel Cheese Slicer
I recently purchased a three wire cheese slicer.
At first it worked great till the black plastic end piece broke, making one of the wires loose which makes that portion on the cheese slicer worthless . When it did work it was a real nice slicer, but I feel this is a manufactuer defect. As stated by a prior reviewer, we both had the same thing happen...... hummmm sounds like they need to replace mine and hers , currently I'm trying to find an address so that I may send mine back and get a replacement for the faulty cheese slicer i bought I'll let you know about the customer service when they get back to me.
If I were buying a cheese slicer right now I'd have to pass on this model and company. I only had mine for two months and it broke I'd have to spend my money on a different one next time unless they replace it every time it breaks that we will wait and see if that happens. If they do replace it I'd have to give it more stars..... but currently I give it a single star due to the faulty manufacturing

Great for softer cheeses
I've had one of these for 6 months and love it. I use a grater or cheese plane for harder cheeses, but where this gadget shines is in the softer cheeses, like muenster, havarti, or port salut.

The center cylinder turns, and rolls along the cheese surface, so the cheese doesn't stick. With any other slicer and most knives, these soft sticky cheeses adhere to the cutting surface, and you end up with a cheese blob, and a mutilated block of cheese. With this device you get clean slices every time.

The shape lets you cut along almost any part of the cheese surface. It's kid-friendly, dishwasher-safe, and durable enough to cut most medium-hard cheeses like cheddar or swiss.

I like it enough to have bought a few for friends or guests, who always want to know where I got it.

Poor Quality
The wires and the slots were not properly aligned on this item, and it broke on the first slice. Very poor quality.

It just won't cut it.
I was pretty excited when I ordered this egg/mushroom slicer, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The wires are so flimsy and loose that it could barely slice into a white button mushroom, and it couldn't pass entirely through any mushroom. To make matters worse, one wire came off entirely the first time I used it - the wires are barely secured to the tabs on either end of the cutting area. I'd love to get a high-quality slicer to save time when I'm cooking with mushrooms, but this model doesn't fit the bill.

Somewhat dull
This is no doubt an efficient egg slicer, but it was rather dull and boring. I wanted an egg slicer with a bit more pizazz, a bit more spiciness, a bit more excitement and spark.

We need a glitzy egg slicer.
