This Franciscan Apple Dinnerware 8-inch Round Vegetable Bowl is quite versatile. I own six of them, and I use them for serving vegetables, mashed potatoes, and other sides at family-style dinners. These bowls also can hold a large can of soup--simply pour the soup into the dish, cover with saran wrap, and nuke it in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. I also use them to serve entrée salads, such as mixed greens with a can of albacore tuna, dressed in a vinagrette. These vegetable bowls also come in a larger size. They stack well in a cupboard, too.
