I bought this with doubts of whether the quality would be that great, being that I'm not real big on the HoMedics line of products. It turns out it's actually a very good product. It's not very loud at all for a stick massager, and the 12 foot cord comes in handy. It's fairly lightweight, but some older people (my grandparents for one) might have trouble holding it themselves for doing their own backs. Te quality seems very good so far, I assumed it would be pretty cheap looking and feeling when I received it, but it really is a good value. I considered purchasing the better (and more expensive) HoMedics massager, but this one has turned out to be just fine, especially for the money saved. Try it out, you might be pleasantly suprised as I was.

I got this for my husband for Valentine's Day, and we love it, including my 4 year old son. It works wonders for any sore spot, specifically the back. Even if your not sore, you still want to use it. What's great is you can use it yourself to massage your back, or you can have someone else do it. It's very easy to hold, and it has a control for how fast or slow you want the massage. It also comes with different ball like attachments, ranging from soft to hard. It depends on what kind of massage you are looking for. I recommend this to anyone that enjoys receiving or giving massages, for pure relaxation and relief of muscle pain.

I bought the massager based on an article I read in a womens mag about increasing bone density with daily massage. This was one of the models listed and it feels so wonderful. Then my 87 year old mother in law tried it. She has had numbness in her feet and ankles causing her to use a cane when outside. She raved about the circulation that she felt after using it and when she went to bed that night her feet were not cold as they normally are. Then she walked to the grocery store which is something she hadn't been able to do in over a year. So I am a real fan and will probably get another-this time for my Mom.

The jets did make the water move, but not enough to relieve any tired muscles. I used the unit in several different locations of my tub & just wasn't happy with it.

Wow, I got this myself 'cause it was inexpensive, small, and got so many good reviews. I just took my first bath with it. I thought, this little thing isn't going to do much for me. I was pleasantly surprised. I really felt more relaxed after I got out 15 minutes later. I just bought another for my mom. It's definately worth the price ($25). My only complaint is the 3 suction cups that hold it. I would think these would become loose over time. I'd rather have a bracket that could go over my bathtub. We'll see how it performs over time.

Our family loves it. We have a small bath tub, but it moves the water around enough that if you close your eyes you actually can believe that you are in a true whirlpool bath tub.

I wasn't very sure how well this product will work when I bought it but after using it a couple of times, I am finding it really nice. It gives such a relaxed feeling after each use. Worth the price!

I bought this as a christmas gift for my husband, who has complained of discomfort while driving and while at the office. while I can't make his job easier or make the road trips go faster, I thought that this back massager might help.

as a *Back Masseur*, you'll find it disatisfying. The pad vibrates and pulses, but can't do what a skillful fingers can. As far as being a device that aids in comfort and relaxation, this is certainly effective. the heat option we first considered extraneous, but then we used it on a chilly evening and changed our opinions.

the pad is well thought out for safety, too. it will automatically turn off if you haven't changed any of the options in the previous fifteen minutes.

some of the cycle and pulse options I found to be worthless--they are more distracting than relaxing.

but, all in all, it's a great pad. certainly does what I hoped it would--brings a little comfort to the road trips and office days.

if you're looking for an actual massage device, we've been using our "HoMedics PA-100 Therapist Select Percussion Action Massager"--a hand held device--and it does a pretty good job of loosening up tight muscles.

still, nothing beats a good masseur.

Installed in a car. Very nice product. heat isnt overbearing like another one I owned. I couldnt give it a perfect score, but it comes close to it. Only problems i have with it are the slight noise (car has leather seats so it makes an audible noise especially in winter until the seat warms up a bit. The other one i had did not do this, but to be fair, it was also more expensive and thicker in back)

to the reviewer who has a problem with the shipping.. no offense buddy but that has nothing to do with THE PRODUCT. Try sticking to the topic. Also, did you choose the gift option during checkout? If you did and they failed to send it as you specified, then i hope your complaint will be taken seriously when you place it, and i hope you will be compensated for your aggravation. If you did NOT choose any of the gift/wrapping options, then you have no right to complain. It doesnt specify anywhere that it was to be shipped in a non descript package, so why would you assume? Quite frankly, inattentive customers are not the shipper's problem.

I saw this at a retail store recently and purchased it (and it was more expensive than they sell it for here!). My fiance and I both spend a lot of time at the computer for work, so we both suffer from back pain quite a bit. This massager is wonderful!

The remote control is easy to learn and use, and the massager itself is powerful and very relaxing. I strap it to my chair and read a book while it's going. It also fits easily into your seat in your car, so if you're driving a lot it can be very comforting!

I highly recommend this product. Try it, you will not be disappointed! Going to a professional massuese for one hour costs more than this massager that you can use for unlimited hours!

This is a nice little mat massager. My sister got one for Christmas and when I reacently had a stiff neck and back from over excercising she loaned it to me. 15 minutes later I felt refreshed, relaxed and the pain was relieved. I was sold and had to get one right away.

My only negative comments relate to the placement of the massage units. They did not hit the right places on any of our family members regardless of the height. I would use it on a rug or with a towel over it for comfort.

I am very disappointed with this product. The suction cups do not hold and the bubbling action is non-existent. You might as well break wind in the water and save yourself 40 bucks. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!

This is a somewhat better product than HoMedics Bath Spa Mat. Unfortunately, the water jet is not powerful enough. Even though it circulates enough water, but it's just no enough to be relaxing or have any kind of massage effect. One other thing, if you mount it on the side of your tub, you will get jet shoting at one side of your body, but have absolutely no affect on the other side. Perhaps, mounting at the end of the tub, where your feet are, might be a better idea. Also, for most of us that have a sliding door for the shower, this puppy is difficult to mount, it is not design with the consideration of sliding door guide rail.

This little...spa wont replace an $[money] jacuzzi with 25 jets. Dont kid yourself. You've got 2 nozzles which can either shoot bubbly water or straight water. The bubbles are good, but I think my tub may be too small and poorly designed to have much use for the bubbles, but they are powerful enough to give a nice little massage to my legs. Also on about 60% of bathtub/shower combinations, you'll be mounting this little beauty on the side of your tub so yes, only one side of your body will get massaged at once... DUH! I dont like bubblemats because they blow cold air where cold air just shouldnt go. And you cant beat the price! The filter does tend to clog a lot though if you do what I do and shave your legs in the tub and use the jets to clean your razor (works really good for that!). Also the plug if you're not careful you'll trip its circuitbreaker and will be meandering about your bathroom nude wondering why your spa isnt working. I cant say anything bad about this little spa. Its powerful enough for my tub, it gives a nice light relaxing foot or leg massage if I position myself right, and its not terribly noisy like my previous bubblemat was (how relaxing is something that sounds like a jackhammer!) Just a nice delicate hum that wont overpower other sounds in your bathroom.

It is nice for once to have something that isn't a huge yard stick to use. It is light enough and the strap works great so your hand isn't fatigued. It's good so that if you're working on someone else, you can get closer & have a free hand to work on the other part of the muscle, etc.

The strength of the machine itself could be better, but does the job fairly well. The fact it uses a dial instead of just 2 speeds is a GREAT idea and very helpful. It can be used as percussion on slower speeds and vibration at the higher speeds.

The heat ability takes about 5-10 min (or seemed like it) to get hot, and even when it did, still only was slightly warmer then room temperature. Though when you took off the plastic tip, the mechanism was burning hot, so be careful.

I didn't find that the infrared heat was sufficient for my sore neck. Maybe it's "dumbed down" to keep people from burning themselves. The vibration is a mild buzzing. And the attachment fingers, etc are not much use. Frankly, this didn't help my muscles at all.

This massager has some good settings and feels good along your back. However, the heat setting is just anemic. I would say "lukewarm" is an appropriate description of the heat. It is a nice touch that the surface of the skin contact areas illuminates a bright red to indicate the heat feature is active, as weak a it is.
