Warm paraffin is so comforting in the winter. When you are cooking, planting tulip bulbs or simply living life in the winter, the skin on your hands can start to dry out more than in the summer months. You will also notice your feet needing extra attention in the summer months due to wearing open shoes. So, this paraffin bath is perfect year round. While you can find smaller paraffin baths (one sitting on the bathroom counter is nice), the larger size is more versatile if you only want to buy one.

Once you have your parfait bath all set up, turn on the heat the day before you want to dip your hands, feet or elbows. The heat can be set on high to melt solid was or on low for periods of infrequent use to keep the wax melted. When the paraffin wax starts getting low, you can reorder more wax and simply add it to the bath. The tub with a transparent lid holds up to 6lbs of wax. It is unscented, undyed and hypoallergenic. Six additional pounds of paraffin wax costs under ($).

To use this luxury, simply dip your hand, elbow or food into the warm melted wax and then dip again so you get two coats. You will feel as if you just put on a warm glove. Now, to increase the benefit of the heat, I first put on some great hand cream and then dip my hands. That way the cream is absorbed and your hands feel soft and smooth.

60 disposable plastic mitts are included. You can slip your hands into the mitts and sit and watch TV for 15 minutes. Then, slip off the wax which is now hardened on your hand. A few parrafin hand dips at a salon will cost you more than one parrafin bath, so it is worth the initial cost of purchasing your own and you can also use it before a manicure to help your cuticles. Put some almond or vitamin E oil on your nails and cuticles and then dip your hands, the results are amazing!

When my paraffin bath arrived I was a little surprised to see that the wax pearls had turned to wax bricks. I'm thinking that they partially melted in the bags and then hardened again. They were a little tricky to open, but that was the only trouble I had with the system. It took about 2-3 hours for the wax to melt and then cool down to a usable temperature.

I think it is fantastic that the outside of the bath remains cool no matter how hot the wax is. Since the unit doesn't heat up the outside, I've had mine on for several days so I can use it whenever I want. I've had the bath set on the lowest temperature for the past couple of days and so far it still hasn't gotten solid. In fact, I was able to use it just last night. I have used the bath for both my hands and my feet. The product is deep enough that my ankles (which are sore constantly) can get covered also. I would recommend this wax bath for anyone that wants soft hands/feet or for the soothing heat it provides for painful joints.

Treatment is excellent for relaxing and for footcare. Important to do treatment where you can veg out for 15 minutes. Change in skin texture is immediate.

Though not a large heater it heats up a room as good or better than the space heater I use more than twice as big. The one touch button operation takes a little time to get used to,but all in all I consider this to be an Excellent Little Heater.

This fan would be decent except for one thing: the pathetic control system. Aside from the intake/exhaust switches, there is only one button on the fan. Not a switch, a dial, or anything else but a lone button. One button to cycle through high/low, on/off, and the various temperature settings. Airflow is adequate and it is not terribly loud. Basically, this is a decent fan, but you can get a better one for less.

Great Fan. Being a doofus, I bought it for a big window near a fire escape, later realizing I would have to go through the hassle of taking it out of the window to lock up before I went to work every day. So I now hang this incredibly lightweight fan in FRONT of the window, and put it away in 30 seconds before leaving the house. With all the features, I can't believe I only paid thirty bucks for this. It could be a little more powerful, but Jesus, $30!

Nice fan. Oops, it pays to read the directions! Wouldn't think I would have to with something so simple as a fan, but looks like I should have. Upon reading the 2 page instructions I learned that the fan can be CUT OFF without having to cycle through all the options by pressing and holding the MODE button for 2 seconds. Then when you cut the fan back on again it will resume the setting you last left it in. Very nice and necessary touch! I feel, however, that there should be some type of wording on the fan itself like 'Press and Hold for OFF' so people would not have to resort to the instruction pamphlet. I had almost thrown away the box along with the little pamphlet...glad I hadn't.

First space heater I have purchased so I don't have much to compare it too. It worked well for 4-5 nites and then I woke up FREEZING at 5:00 in the morning. The heater was dead and I could not get it started again. Returning it to Amazon with their awesome return policy because I need a heater NOW. I will say I must have just gotten a defective one because when it worked it really did a nice job though it did seem a bit noisy. But, I don't have anything to compare it too so maybe all space heaters sound like this.

In 1999, after moving into our new home, we bought a HEATLOGIC HFH-435BR Holmes heater and it worked great for about 1 1/2 years. We used it approx. 50 times per year. After 1 1/2 years it would only work if you unplugged it and let it sit for an hour or two. Since we were out of warranty we operated like this until now. Maybe it is not the heaters fault but something we did to it. Am going to buy a new one and hope they have fixed any problems if it was the heater. We certainly got "our money's worth" of pleasure out of it, hence my 3 star rating vs. a lower rating.Hope this helps someone. Jack

We've had this heater for 2 winters and use it to heat our bedroom which is on the opposite side of the house from the furnace. This room is usually colder in the winter and this solved our problem. Great for keeping the temperature at just the right degree. We bought another heater for downstairs which isn't programmable and really regret it. Now were looking to purchase another for the kids room. We've had absolutely no problems at all. I just hope we can find another to purchase.
