Incredible power
At first when I received this Hoover in the mail I thought I had ordered a toy for my daughter. It is incredible light yet powerfully strong. I opened the package right away and assembled it without a problem. Very easy to assemble. I ordered this vacuum to specifically clean two new area rugs I recently purchased. It worked fantastic with the area rugs not to mention the wall to wall carpeting in my bedroom. The fact that it does not need a bag is so conveniant. I hate changing bags on vacuums. This is a great machine at a wonderful price. it is incredibly strong yet light enough for my 6 year old daughter to help with the cleaning as well. It is also fantastic because I can go from cleaning the area rugh to cleaning the hard wood floor with the flip of a switch. I would highly recommend this vacuum to everyone.

A Very Satisfied Gift Giver (Christmas 2001)
I researched this item on multiple internet sites and read users
reviews. My wife is delighted with light weight, ease of use &
the cleaning results. To highlight those features our 3yr old
grandson used it repeatedly on Christmas day to help clean up
our large carpeted family room of gift wrappings and dog hair.
He loved it and did a good job cleaning while being entertained.
It will get more use than our larger Electrolux. Since we have a large long ranch; we may get a second one for the other end of
the home. My wife's addition to the review: IT'S A WONDERFUL TIME
SAVER.

Great Suction for a Great Price
For the weekly quick floor cleaning, this is a great machine. Suction of fine dust and particles is excellent. Snap to use. Filter is superior hepa, made of durable vinyl, made to last. Just wash after every use.

Drawbacks: Very noisy and loud; roller belt is only 1/4" wide and may need replacing in two years (spray with silicon to prolong life). All in all, a great machine for the price. Meant primarily for quick floor clean ups (hard and rugs). For hardcore cleaning, I use my big vaccuum with hose and attachments.

Good for quick clean ups, of light dirt.
I've only used this product once, but I can tell I'll be using it in place of a swifter sweeper. My dogs shed alot, and a single swifter isn't enough to pick up all the hair. This electric broom works well at picking large amounts of hair from both hardwood floors and carpet. It's bag isn't big enough, nor does it have enough power to be a replacment for a regular vacuum, but that isn't what it was built for. It's very light, and strong enough to use for quick pickups of dog hair and other light dirt in between more involved cleaning.

Right for the Job (and a little more)
I purchased this vacuum to pick up the small stuff (e.g., cat hair, dirt from outside) in between thorough vacuuming sessions. I picked this one based on Consumer Reports' testing and ratings.

It does a good job of picking up the debris it was intended to pick up. And since I have hard wood floors, I appreciate the carpet and floor options -- it even picks up cat hair equally well on both. And it's so handy - I don't have to lug around the huge vacuum to pick up a small mess upstairs, I don't have to stoop to use the handvac, and it has a brush so it picks up hair much better than a handvac.

It sounds like one of the reviewers purchased this expecting it to be a full-fledged vacuum cleaner. It isn't, but I'm really surprised at how close it comes - especially for the price and the convenience. I even think it'd be an appropriate choice as the only vac for a small apartment with hardwood floors (I don't know if it'd be right for an apartment with wall-to-wall carpeting).

I am in love!
I would never think of writing a review for a product, but this time I make an exception. This nifty little tool is the business! Light-weight, quiet, SO easy to use, and it picks up the dirt like nothing I've ever seen. Cat litter seems to be its specialty, and it's so quiet it doesn't even scare the cats. My folks have a DirtDevil broom vac that is good on bare floors, but this little Hoover does the job on carpets. Must be the beater brush. How a rechargable battery can have so much power I do not know, but I definitely recommend this product.

Great until it fell apart
With new low pile carpeting (berber) and tile floors elsewhere in my home, this seemed to be the perfect solution and alternative to my trusty Kenmore. The Hoover was easy to handle, descent suction, fairly easy to empty the canister (albeit slightly messy as the dust/dirt tended to "fly" a bit), long electrical cord and an overall lightweight appliance easy enough to manage under tables and chairs and such. However, the third use resulted in a crack in the foot that attaches to the body - this resulted merely from preparing to turn off the machine - too much pressure when placed upright? One crack lead to another, then chunks flew off to the point that the bottom no longer stayed attached to the unit, no way to replace the part without replacing the entire base/foot - not cost effective and of course, past the 30 day return. If the hard plastic connection from foot to base were reinforced or if a preventive measure of duct tape or such around the connection were made I believe this minor adjustment would resolve this unfortunate complication. A call to Hoover netted "ah, sorry to hear of that, never heard of a problem like that before". I didn't know the one I bought for my sister had done the same thing until after I shared the details of my call to Hoover with her. She agrees it's a good concept, but plagued by an otherwise minor flaw.

Hoover S2200 Flair Works Well
Got the S2200 Flair Bagless Stick Vac for Christmas. Have been using it for a month and am very satisfied. Have a small apartment with wood floors but I do have a cat. It really does a good job of picking up dirt and cat hair and it does pick up kitty litter! Emptying the removable cup and filter can be messy. It also does not stand upright on its own but overall I am happy with it.

handy vac for quick pickups
Fairly good stick vac. We use it mostly for cleaning our tiled kitchen area. Has adjustment for bare floor vs carpet. Good suction and light weight for easy handling. Only critiques are the base floor piece does not have a locking attachment to the body, though its unlikely to come off easily. Also the flaired, oblong shape can make maneuvering a bit funny at times.

very unhappy
I'm very unhappy with this vacuum, for the following reasons:

1. Poor suction. I have cat hair on my rugs, and all it does is clump the cat hair up, so I have to pick it up by hand or by taking off the brush and putting the tube right over it. Also, it doesn't begin to get all the hair out of the rug.

2. It scratches my bare floors, even on the floor setting, plus it makes a loud scratching noise on those floors.

3. It is awkward and timeconsuming to take the brush off for areas where you want just the tube, like corners.

4. Seems very cheesy. Why do they use plastic in these things.

It is a complete waste of money. One use, and it is headed into the rubbish. I would return it, except I bought it quite awhile ago and just used it for the first time.

Not Easy to Find Bags for this Vacuum
The vacuum works but I can't find Type R bags for it at any stores where bags are sold, must have to be ordered special, which is not good.

Excellent choice if you're looking for value and ease of use
What you'll like best about this Hoover vacuum is that it's light weight (approximately 8 pounds) gives it a tremendous advantage over traditional cannister vacuum cleaners. This is most noticed if you're using it on stairs or carrying it out to the garage to vacuum the car.

Other great features are the extra-long vacuum hose (6-feet), and the 18-foot electrical cord. Both of these add to the item's ease of use.

Changing the bag is very easy, and this unit uses the Type R Hoover bag, so you can do quite a bit of vacuuming between changes.

Works well on hard floors
I bought this vacuum to help cleanup our kitchen floor, which is always dirty from the dog (and us) tracking dirt in. It does a pretty good job, quickly sucking up loose dirt, dog hair, etc. My only complaint is that it has a hard time picking up small rocks (2-3mm).

Works better than sweeping since I can shove it back in corners and it sucks everything up, rather than trying to get that stuff out with a broom which never seems to work very well.

A handy little broom.
I bought the Quik-Broom for its light weight and convenience. It certainly doesn't have enough power to take the place of a regular vacuum, but it's handy for quick pickups and especially for stairs and other tight places where the big vacuum is too bulky to get to. One problem I have had is that the clear dust container can appear empty while the bag of dirt inside is full. It takes a while to get used to having to empty it even when it doesn't look like it needs to be emptied. Once you get used to that, however, it fills a real need between the little handheld and the big heavy-duty vacuum. I recommend it.

my nice little Hoover
For its size, weight, and price, this is a mighty fine cleaning device. I live with 2 indoor cats, so it not only has to deal with lots of fur, but those pesky little grains of sand that seem to travel far from the litter pan...and it does a good job with both.

The plus factors are: It hangs in my broom closet taking up very little space, it's incredibly light, the cord is long enough to reach many areas, it works equally well on carpeting or the kitchen/bathroom flooring, the nozzle is thin and mobile enough to clean corners and tight spaces, and most of all (and this is a big item for me and my four-pawed friends), the sound is tolerable for our sensitive ears.

Yes, you have to invert the filter and clean it, but it's a sturdy one (and washes well if you want to), and if done carefully with a paper towel is an easy enough procedure...it also amazes me how much finds its way into the filter, proof that this handy Quick-Broom is doing its job.

You get what you pay for...
When I first bought this vacuum, it worked pretty well, especially on hardwood and linoleum. On carpet, it did not pick up dog hair or fuzz but did seem to suck up dirt and other particles. As time wore on, however, this vacuum's suction power began to disappear. Now when I vacuum, I have to use the attachments (which actually work great) in order to pick up anything, even on hard surfaces. Last week, the handle broke in half, so I am now on the market for a new vacuum. While this vacuum is inexpensive, lightweight, and effective at first, don't count on using it for longer than 2 years.

Perfect for small spaces and hard floors
I took my Quick Broom with me to college. Graduation is next week and I'm still using my Quick Broom. It's lightweight and stores away easily in my limited student-dwellings. The brush does need frequent cleaning, especially if you have long hair (which I do). Overall, it's great for quick cleanups and best for hard floors.

Sucks only figuratively.
I've owned a Quik-Broom encore for almost a year. Never once have I used it that I haven't been on my hands and knees using the hose attachment in the vain hope of picking up a piece of lint or crumb. Purchase this vacuum only if you don't care about cleanliness; it will never help you achieve it.

Useful only on floors
If you are planning to use this quick broom on carpets, it won't do a good job,it is only suitable for floors.

It SAYS it's for floors
Some people are crying about this vacuum not doing a good job on carpet. It's nor FOR carpet. Also, some were griping about the nozzle falling off in use. I had the same problem, took it to a local Hoover dealer, and come to find out it was missing two screws that securely attach the nozzle to the machine. Voila! it works like a charm. Hoover apparently had a "memory lapse" and didn't ship the screws with the machine.
