Wow!This thing is tremendous. It was downright scary how much it got out of my rugs that the ol' Dirt Devil didn't. It's comfortable to use, glides well, and is very quiet. There are a couple of things that could be done better...the hose should be longer and it would be nice if one of the cord wrap hooks rotated so that you could drop the cord off instead of unwinding it.
I now understand why someone would pay $$$ for a one of these things. Gald I didn't have to.
Good News This Vacuum Really Sucks!
A BMW - or Maybe a Mercedes - of a Vacuum CleanerIs there a bad side? Not really. It shares the characteristic of cup-type dirt collectors. You can see the collection cup through the plastic case easily. It is not difficult to remove, but is sealed very well so no dust escapes. But when you dump the cup, a mushroom cloud of dust naturally billows up, so you do not want to empty it in the house. This is annoyance, but intrinsic to the cup-collector type of design. Above the cup is a pleated paper filter. This gets covered with lint and hair and filled with fine, flour-like dust. You must take this outside, pick off the hairballs and clap it like an eraser. You get clouds of fine dust from this operation, of course, and must plan accordingly. Better be upwind for these operations so you get no blow-back, but not near a window, door or your newly-washed parked car. Every six months, you also will need to change the genuine HEPA filter, which will cost you a few bucks.
In summary, if you buy this vacuum cleaner, you will be pleased with the performance and the outstanding bargain. You must be prepared; however, to deal with the effort in dealing with the comprehensive filter system that gives you the remarkable cleaning ability of this machine.

- HEPA filter retains 99.97% of household dust, pollen, bacteria, and allergens

Nice inexpensive bagless vacuum cleanerI've always been very found of a bagless cleaner versus their bagged counterparts, however, if you want a fantastic bagless, this isn't it. Don't get me wrong, it was worth every penny I paid, however, there are a few drawbacks. The most annoying ones are that the extra extension is supported at the bottom of the cleaner by a small tab. It is very easy to bump this with your foot when turning the unit off and on and also while cleaning, causing the extension to fall off. Also, the dirt cup comes off rather easily, but doesn't go back on quite as well. You must make sure that you have the top hinge seated precisly before the bottom clip will go into place. I have found that the only way I can get the clip to click back into place is to literally slam the cup into place. I've only been using the cleaner for about 4 months and only the upstairs portion of my house, so I'm not sure how many more times I will be able to slam the cup into place before the clip breaks. The dirt cup also has a hinged flap that opens when emptying, so be careful and open it manually instead of letting it fly open on it's own, as this can make a mess.
Other than those items I mentioned, is seems to clean rather well, is light and manuevers easily. I got mine on sale at WalMart for only $49. I don't know that I would have paid much more for it, though.
It was worth the money!!!!!!

Gets the crud!Plus, this puppy goes completely flat to clean under tables, etc and the back saver handle really does make a difference ( I have 6 herniated discs in my spine and usually suffer a lot when I
vacume.) Do not hesitate if you are thinking of purchasing this machine. It is an incredible deal.

I have to agree with them, it is the best vacum around, and its only about $100.
The only problem with it is, the bags fill up quickly and the belts break about every 6 months...so i highly suggest you find a website which selss the bags and belts and stock up.
But whatever you do, do-not go to any store that sells vacums and sewing machines only, those places will ripe you off, they sell the belts for 10x more than other stores or the web.
