Very cool.
After using this the first few times, I planned on giving it a crap review. Stuff just seemed to get pushed around. Then I turned it around the other way. OK, so I'm an idiot. In any case, when you run this thing vacuum first, it picks up lots. One of the main reasons I got it is for the litter that my cats can't seem to keep IN the litter box. Every time I clean the box, I run this little thing to clean up the mess. It works excellently. I also use it before wetjetting my kitchen. I don't love the Bissel cloths they enclose, but it takes my Swiffer cloths so I don't care. This seems to do a good job of picking up pet fur, litter, crumbs and dirt, etc. The only thing it wouldn't pick up are the bits of cat food around the cat dish.

A miracle worker for dog owners in wintry climes
I love my Swiffer, but I found it just didn't do the job in the wintertime after moving to a city that liberally dumps sand on the roadways after snowstorms. All it did was push sand all over my lovely hard wood floors! And then my dog's prolific shedding meant I was using 4 cloths to clean my whole house (and that included turning them over when one side got dirty). The Bissell Catch-All was the perfect solution. The vacuum gets the bulk of the sand and hair, with the cloth picking up the rest--I'm down to one cloth per cleaning for my whole house. You won't want to throw out your Swiffer (you'll still need it to get under the couch and your dressers), but your floors will be better protected AND you'll save tons of money on cloths.

Big time saver
This is a great device. I was unsure whether to get the Catch-all or the Dirt Devil Sweeper Vac w/ swiffer.. so I bought them both and put them to the test. The Catch-All was the clear winner and my opinion was seconded by my girlfriend in her own unbiased test. The Catch-All's soft rotating brush allowed it to pick up small particles (crumbs and such) while the Sweeper Vac failed to suck them up and resulted in the swiffer pad pushing them around. The seperate battery pack makes the CatchAll much easier to recharge and store and it makes less noise than the SweeperVac. The CatchAll is great for quick daily passes of the high traffic tile in my house and it still amazes me how much pet hair it grabs up in my everyday use. I've tried tons of floor care products and this one has won me over. I returned the Dirt Devil the next day and bought the Bissell Steam Mop which I also found to be a fantastic addition to the CatchAll.

You get what you pay for
This vacuum is fine for picking up the dirt in a small studio, but don't expect anything more from it. The main problems are by design: It is not very powerful (but adequate for hardwood floors) and because the engine is on the stick you can't reach under beds and sofas. But it does the job nicely in a small place with no rugs.

I love this vacuum
My apartment has all hardwood floors and I have a very furry dog. This vacuum has made a huge difference in keeping the place clean. It does a great job picking up the long hairs and has been a real time saver. Plus it's hard to go wrong for this price.

This vacuum changed my life
I live in a 900 sq. foot apartment with wooden floors and I have two cats. I have spent the past four years trying everything from the traditional (dust mop) to a Black and Decker FloorBuster - and none of them have worked as well as the Bissell Easy Vac Plus. It's powerful, it picks up very well and handles my throw rugs with ease. I finally feel like I'll win the war against the dust bunnies and ever present cat hair ...

only buy this if it is all you can afford
I really liked this vacuum when I first received it. For the price it seemed to work really excellent. But over time I am less and less impressed. I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone with pets, kids, or who live in a sandy area of the country. I have 2 kids, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. This vacuum clogs very easily. There is always something (a little piece of paper with block a big wad of pet hair)in the hose (I have a stick I keep handy just to unclog it). Another reviewer cautioned against long hair - take heed. The brush is all wound up with my daughters' hair and that of the My Little Ponies. The vacuum does work very well on bare floor (including the cat litter another reviewer mentioned). I feel that it works best on carpet and bare floor when it is on the carpet setting. The bare floor setting just seems to push things around. The sandy area I live in does create a different problem. The sand on the bare floor will get stuck in the wheels and interfere with proper movement - the head of the vacuum will get stuck in a position lifted off the floor (not touching the floor = not picking up anything). The cord is too short. This is also my first bagless vacuum and with that feature, I am so not impressed. I have to empty that canister at least 2x each time I vacuum my house which I find very irritating. Considering I have a small house (1248 sq ft)and I vacuum about 3x a week, I find that to be ridiculous and excessive. I guess that shows that it really does suck pretty well overall.
So, for the price it is not such a bad vacuum. But if you can afford better, buy it (and due to this vacuum I would say "try a bissell"). I would only recommend this vaccum to people who live in small apartments without kids or pets.

Very EASY Vacuuming
This is the best handy vacuuming device I have ever purchased. With 3 kids, 1 dog, 1 bird, and a very busy schedule, I wanted something for quick daily sweep-ups. I tried my dust buster, the electric brooms etc. This vacuum is perfect. I have wood floors and area rugs of various sizes and the transistion is easy. Just flip the switch. There is a handle on the top to aid handling. It's light and quiet. It empties and filters like a dustbuster. It rests upright when you want it to and doesn't klunk you on the head unexpectedly. Pick-up is great. Powerbrush works fine. The power cord is basically room size. This vacuum is the one to use for daily and weekly (even hourly) tidying up. I bought it a month ago and haven't brought out the Electrolux yet. Inevitably, I will because for the big time cleaning under the beds etc. I will need my canister vac. with the floor brush on the long handle. Buy this vacuum if you want to do the Monster whole house vacuuming less often. The Easy Vac is perfect for Quick EASY vacuuming.

Suprisingly powerful
I bought this to replace my old vacuum, which was essentially a dustbuster on a stick. Imagine my disappointment when I got this, and found that releasing a simple latch allows you to remove the suction unit: it's a dustbuster on a stick.

But, surprise surprise, the dustbuster is super powerful, and the stick includes a powered rotating brush that really gets up dirt from carpets. This thing rocks.

It's not only effective and versatile, it also looks good. Not that appearance makes one bit of difference to the doomed dust bunnies on your floor, but this Powerbrush just looks and feels like a quality machine. It's relatively light and easy to handle, the clear plastic removable dirt collector lets you see when you need to empty it, and it's solid--this thing won't fall apart if it falls over.

Perfect for small apartments, dorm rooms, and condos. You might want to go with a bigger unit if you've got a lot of floor space and need super-deep cleaning.

Oh, and you can shut off the rotating brush with a simple flick of a switch mounted on the handle, allowing quick transition from, say, your carpeted living room to the hardwood-floored kitchen.

Great buy. 5 stars.

Not a good vacuum for carpet
This vacuum sucks, but not very well. It doesn't pick up anything on our bad-quality apartment carpet. It's hard to push and messy to empty. We purchased it because it looked easy to store. However, our carpets are a mess and my husbands begging for a new vacuum.

This is a light-weight machine...
...and meant only for light-weight tasks. If you think of it as a very powerful, rechargeable-type vacuum, you won't be disappointed. Of course, as it's corded, it doesn't suffer from the limitations of those battery operated machines. However, it will work adequately well only on small areas of carpet (spot cleaning) or on hardwood, vinyl or tile floors.

Best [$$] spent this year!!
This item was in my goldbox and I ordered it on a whim..I love it!! It's just what we needed with 2 kids under 2 and 2 long haired cats. It picks up cheerios and cat hair like a pro! It's easy to maneuver and picks up great along the edges of trim and under dishwasher, fridge and stove since it's so low. It's only so-so on carpet, but it will pick up lint and crumbs, if they're not deep into the pile.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Rainbow vacuum, but this is sooo much easier in a hurry and with kids around and half the house being linoleum or tile, that's what matters!

disappointed
While the sweeper does do an excellent job of sweeping up everything on the kitchen floor, the next time you use it it dumps most of the debris back on the floor. I have tried emptying the containers, rolling and using the comb to clean the bottom. No luck. It still dumps dirt on the floor at the beginning of each use. You then have to sweep over the pile several times to get it picked up again. The handle also has come apart but that I can live with. The base of the unit is a large square and even though I have a large floor it would be more useful if it was smaller and more rectangular. If you have a small kitchen floor that is not an open rectangle for cleaning the size may be a problem. I should probably have sent it back since it is more work to clean with it. But I keep hoping I can figure out why it is dumping debris. If I could get it to stop doing it it would be useful.

Good and Bad points
I've had this sweeper for a few years now and have found this to be a usefull product for quick pick up after meals in the dining room(with a messy pre-schooler and toddler) and as a good quick brush up between vacuumings. While this doesn't replace a vacuum cleaner by any means, it does a decent job for it's purpose. The pockets in which mess is deposited are easy to flip to dump in the trash. This pickes up rice, cheerios, bits of paper, some dirt, cracker crumbs, ect prety well. Don't expect it to get anything *in* the carpet fibers.

However, it has not stood up well with use. The two roller brushes which pick up stuff fall out often now since the plastic sides of the sweeper have become warped. The rollers are held in by a simple tab in hole design, and this is rather flimsy. Because of this, I haven't been able to use it much since it developed this problem.

It still has it's use as a fun cleaning toy for my kids though. While I vacuum my 3yo son likes to use the sweeper to imitate me vacuuming. It's light enough that he can push it around with ease and practice saying "'scuse me peese" lol :-). So, for the investment which isn't too much, I got a usefull sweeper which held up for about a year, which could be graduated to a toy after it wore out.

WOW
THIS SWEEPER IS WONDERFUL.
I HAVE A VERY HAIRY DOG THAT SHEDS ALOT.IT'S WONDERFUL ON CARPET AND TILE. GREAT FOR THE MESSES DONE BY THE HUSBAND WHO INSISTS ON WHEARING HIS DIRTY OLD WORK BOOTS AND TRACK DIRT AND MUD ALL OVER THE HOUSE, AND EVEN GREAT FOR KIDS WHO LOVE EATING WHILE THEY'RE WALKING ALL AROUND THE HOUSE. BOTH MY KIDS 3 & 5 LOVE SEEING CRUMBS ON THE FLOOR, AND CLEANING THEIR OWN MESSES. I LOVE IT. GREAT CHRISTMAS PRESENTS.

    Hard to Find
A Kitchen & Housewares enthusiast from Myrtle Beach, SC comments on the inability to locate this item in the "Real World". I have have to agree!

    Recommend:
Order 3-4 sets of 3 (1 a month for the year) to avoid the search again in three months.

bissell style 7 vacuum cleaner bags
The Bissell vacuum works really great but the bags in style #7 are very difficult to find. The bags are expensive and are only half the size of most vacuum cleaner bags. I have had to order replacement bags each time because you can't find them in stores. I would recommend checking into this before purchasing your next vacuum, but if you are like me and already own this type vacuum then Amazon.com has been the only place I have found that carries these bags. I'm very disappointed in the price, the size and the difficulty in obtaining these bags.

    3 bags
Comes with 3 bags. They seem fine to me.

    Bissel Vacuum Bags
These bags are a good buy here at Amazon although the bags are way overpriced by Bissel. You get the best bargain in a very good vacuum then you pay through the nose for the bags. Plus the bags are very difficult to find in general department stores ...
