I bought this hoping not to have to scrub my shower anymore. This did not happen, unfortunately--a coating of [a cleaner] and some elbow grease will do more for your shower than the Steam buggy. But it is good for the shower tracks where hair and who-knows-what builds up and it's hard to scrub out. Also good for: inside the microwave/oven/toaster oven, diaper pails, cat boxes, bird cages, other things with caked on grime or too gross to touch. The attachments are pretty useless and the steam jet does not have that much "oomph" behind it. It does, however, get into small spaces, and takes mold off a wall reasonably well. It also can get into small spaces with the steam jet that your fingers/washrag can't. It is good for chemically sensitive people--I did enjoy not having to smell harsh cleansers while cleaning. But if you really want a good steam cleaner, spend a bit more and get a professional model, is my take. I don't think I'd buy it again. Note to those hoping to steam clothes with this to get wrinkles out: Forget it. It doesn't work that well, and after you burn yourself with scalding water dripping out of the attatchment head a couple of times, you will beg to go back to a real iron.

The steam buggy is something that seems too good to be true. Well, it is, but it's not BAD either. It does great on that gross orange stuff that showers and sinks get when you don't wash them for a while. It is better for soap scum (with a scrubbing attatchment and a LOT of elbow grease) than Comet or other abrasive cleansers. But you do still have to scrub--it won't just disappear. Of course, this depends on how long you let something sit. I tested mine on the super-dirty shower today, which I hadn't cleaned in over a month (SO glad I'm anonymous here) and it took me a good 3-4 hours to get it clean, but I doubt it would have been a great deal faster anyway. Plus, it got stuff off my shower that no cleaner ever has. Takes mildew, etc. off your ceiling- will also remove paint if left too long on one spot, I discovered :( It is really great for gross jobs like cat boxes, garbage cans, etc. and hard to reach things like the track of the shower door. But you can't just point it at something like the kitchen counter and have it cleaned--it will loosen the dirt, but you still have to at least wipe it off. Nevertheless, it is so effective at cleaning showers, refrigerators, etc. that it was worth the price, for me. It doesn't make things effortless, just easier and less smelly. And a lot of stuff you will still have to scrub--sorry, but nothing short of an industrial steam jet is going to just "melt off" baked on pizza cheese from your oven.

I am definitely glad I made this investment. The product truly cleans as shown on the infomercial. I am chemical-sensitive and this makes cleaning a health hazard for me. The Steam buggy provided healthy option to clean and sanatize my home!
I had purchased the Eureka HotShot prior to ordering the Steam Buggy, and though this product was effective, the resevoir was much smaller and would only steam clean for 3 to 4 min. and I had to refill 3 times more often with HotShot vs. Steam Buggy.

Steam Buggy is fairly light and easy to tote. The attatchments are much easier to change than on HotShot. At first use, SB was a little cumbersome, but one I got the hang of it, cleaning was a breeze!

An added benefit:
While cleaning, you inadvertantly get a sauna and facial at the same time! =)

I have two cats in a small apartment. Without any attachments, this machine does a poor/fair job of sweeping kitty litter off the floor. With the floor attachment, it can't do it at all. I clean the filter regularly (which is admittedly very easy to do) and keep all hoses, connections etc etc completely clean (yes I check every time). This means that if there is kitty litter on the floor, I need to get on my hands and knees and sweep it up without any attachments - w/ something that covers the size of a silver dollar. As you can imagine, it is not long before I just use the old fashioned broom. The floor attachment is very ineffective - so those of you who are complaining that you can't figure out how to buy one...don't bother - you will find that you rarely use it. Anyone in the market for a small cleaner should avoid this if they are looking to use it for anything other than dust. It is not even strong enough to clean up a granule of kitty litter.

Doesn't work very well and now smells like something is burning inside! Stay away from this junk!

We used the turbo tiger for 1 week (liked it very much) and then the flexible hose broke in half. So I ordered a new one (no charge) from tristar, the maker. I had to wait three weeks for it to arrive. It was the wrong hose, so I called tristar again and they sent me another, well I got the wrong one again. I gave them one more chance and they again, sent the wrong one. After 9 weeks having a new vacuum and not being able to use it. I decided to send it back. It's been three weeks since my return and I have not gotten a refund. This company has some serious customer service issues.

This product is cheaply made, does not produce enough steam to clean anything! The idea and the price are tempting, but the Penguin does not live up to expectations. My thumbs are sore after tryng to clean my stove - I finally gave up and just scrubbed it. If the whole idea is for this product to make cleaning grime easier, it does not, and using something like this just on everyday "dirt" like a kitchen counter is not worth the time or thumb power.

and save yourself the frustration! Wish I'd read these reviews before I bought mine! Junk, doesn't do anything you hope for or expect and with the poor performance it stops looking so cute! Save your money!

I was given this product as a xmas present from my husband. I really just wanted to clean my pets cage. I'm not happy that you have to keep pumping the handle to get any steam! I really mean "pumping"-but the instructions says "don't not pump more than so many seconds, can break the unit" (plastic unit), but the steam doesn't come out consistantly unless you keep pumping!.
The steam is not powerful enough and that it's a plastic unit- you really can't get the performance to steam consistanly. Although the price is right -the performance is not, even on my stove and counter top- not enought power and to much usless pumping, just water no removal of grime.
