My husband and I received a set of high-end Calphalon cookware as a wedding gift and although we've enjoyed using it, it was simply too high-maintenance for two beginner cooks who make huge messes! We broke down and bought this set from Target in February and absolutely love it -- it's dishwasher safe, cleans like a dream and cooks evenly! If only they had additional, loose pieces available -- we'd love a larger frying pan, etc. I'd recommended this set without reservation to "normal" cooks -- not the experts, but those of us who cook when we have to or cook basic meals in the middle of everyday lives. That's who this set is perfect for!

In this day of technology and the fact that Black and Decker are supposed to be a reputable company, this was a piece of garbage.
If you have arthritis, I definitely would not recommend. You have to have two people to operate this. Not worth the effort!! I called Black and Decker (aka: Applica) and they claimed they've never received any complaints. I was civil with them, but they would not offer any help on this, nor would give me to a supervisor to speak with.

I recieved this as a gift.I tried it out several times.The consistency is nothing like soft ice cream,more like hard ice cream that has been sitting out.Wastes most of your ice cream anyway.Total junk.Also black and decker has not been a pleasent company to work with.After much insistence they are going to investigate the situation and consider some form of a refund.

I bought one locally for my Mom as she likes soft serve, well, I HAD to buy one for myself, and that's when I saw Amazon has it and I'm buying it. It makes ice cream like you get from soft serve machines at DQ and places like that. You do need to make sure the ice cream you put in the machine is VERY hard, other wise it wont make a good soft serve cone, it'll be way to soft. This machine is great if you are making more than one cone, and you will need atleast two people if you are making cones. It's a nice little kitchen tool, and I highly recommend this. Play around and come up with neat mixes, add candy and nut pieces, have fun with it.

I have been using this set for under 2 months and already the teflon is coming off on almost every piece. Please note that I do not cook very often so this is horrible for a cookware set! This product does not distribute heat evenly at all. I am very disappointed in this product and will never purchase anything made by this manufactorer again.

I finally found a pan that is large enough, sides high enough, heavy enough and with a base that works beautifully on my flat cooktop. I was able to purchase just the one piece but would not hesitate to purchase more based on my good experience.

We have been using a large and small pan for over a year now from Bialetti..and its wonderful,,nothing sticks to it, it does not stain and nothing is coming off of it...it looks like new after every washing,,,,It cooks food evenly and we are headed off to buy a complete set....

I only had this coffeemaker for 6 months,when I went to turn it on, the switch popped off and sparks came out. It burned my finger. I have to agree with the other reviews, this is one of the worst appliances I have ever bought. You get what you pay for.

We have had the coffee maker for a little over 2 years....just yesterday the on/off button broke and a fire spark almost burnt my finger! It was a slow coffee maker and was difficult to pour the water in...I do not recommend this appliance! Thanks!

I have had the cofeemaker for 1 year and a half. It's been working fine and all of a sudden my husband turned on the switch and the switch lit but nothing happened. I don't know what happened to it. Like the other raters I agree it is a little difficult pouring water into the maker. I would also like to add that my coffeemaker was no longer a Smartbrew when I washed the machine, something fell off and I couldn't find the piece that created the coffeemaker to stop dripping when I pulled the carafe away from it. That's the price you pay for a cheaper coffeemaker.
